I've read that he's played well but gets a little lost moving around on his goals, I think they lost in a shootout today. I really don't see a ton of footage on Bednar sadly, just comments here and there. It seems like he's had some decent development in the Q and internationally so it'll be interesting to see if he can take any more steps and force his way into the Wings' plans at all.

I originally wanted Wallstedt based on scouting reports but I had never seen either play so who knows. Their goal tending prospects were pretty much non-existent so I was okay with taking a goalie high, just have to pray the development works out. I think I read Cossa is still growing too so still getting used to that gangly body.

Eh I'm not sure he even saw the shot before it was basically by him, the closer defender honestly looked like he was timing his movement in front of Cossa to do the most damage. Though watching it back I am more inclined to agree with you. Then the first goal Latvia scored against him was a gnarly deflection off his defender's stick, naturally the hfboards named him a bust because of it lol. It is weird to me how hot some fans are to declare him a terrible pick. Apparently Wallstedt let in some bad goals yesterday too, goalies just take time. I hesitate to even post stuff about Cossa though it'll be interesting to see how his next season(s) go.

Scored this one on Cossa, his defense did their best to give him moving screens at multiple levels. Canada's defense has been awful apparently.

Uwe Krupp is an asshole for getting injured dogsleeding and lying about it, effectively stealing money from the Wings for nothing. Odd example unless I'm not remembering other stuff haha. I also dislike Tkachuk but would want him on my team even if he is an asshole/a bit of a baby. Wings need good hockey players and at this point if a guy isn't committing crimes I'm on board. He apparently turned down $11 million per year plus the captain's C from Calgary so I honestly think he's just forcing his way to St. Louis at this point.

I'm not sure Tkachuk would even want to play in Detroit myself... everything I see links him to teams more competitive than the Wings.

Guessing he didn't have the market he thought he'd have, now they're waiting for the dust to settle to figure out what's the best move for them moving forward. Plus there are rumors that teams are trying to move salary cap for Kadri, so that type of stuff could be at play with Klingberg too maybe?

If they somehow get Klingberg I wonder if they move Hronek, he is basically the wish.com version of Klingberg.

I thought Cossa looked okay at best in the first game (played the first two periods). He made a couple nice saves but also one goal by Ethan Phillips was a long range shot that beat him cleanly on the glove side. He looks like a kid still getting used to his body and not comfortable with everything yet. I thought his movement was choppy/awkward on the Phillips goal and his glove hand was awfully positioned. But it is also a 3 on 3 tournament where he saw a lot of breakaways/odd man rushes so a different beast. Game 2 is great to watch so far, Edvinsson on one side and Kasper on the other. Edvinsson looks good for showing up this morning from Sweden and apparently wearing borrowed gear (he does look tired as hell though). Kasper looks really good. Amadeus Lombardi has some skill and Viro looks nice on defense. It is nice seeing Mazur and Wallinder too.

I haven't been watching the Development Camp 3 on 3 scrimmages going on youtube right now but apparently Amadeus Lombardi looks really good which is intriguing.

I am excited for this roster to be an actual NHL roster, depth depth depth!

I am skeptical of JFresh's model overall but I found this interesting from someone on reddit using his stuff. We were at 82 points in his model before free agency I believe, exactly where they ended last season. Edit: just saw he adjusted something and they're at 94 points projected now
