And Niederbach, think this is comprehensive of our guys in Sweden: Rogle BK, William Wallinder, LD Rogle BK, Theodor Niederbach, C/RW Rogle BK, Marco Kasper, C Frolunda HC, Liam Dower-Nilsson - C/LW Leksands IF J20, Anton Johansson, RD Orebro HK J20, Maximilian Kilpinen, C/LW Mora IK (Allsvenskan), Albin Grewe, W

Super exciting news, ESPN/Disney made a deal with the SHL to broadcast the upcoming season!!! I'm going to watch so much Rogle.
-
I think the Wings' prospects first game will be tomorrow, should be streamed on youtube at 3 pm. I'm excited!

Prospect Tournament stuff started:
-
Wallinder ended with 3 assists and Kasper had 2 assists. Stole this from HF boards So far Kasper is incredible at suppressing shots and he has 6 points in 4 games. Tough to not be excited about this kind of play from a young center. Amadeus Lombardi apparently played as Flint's top line center in their first preseason game, he scored a goal. I'm hoping we get some game footage of this kid this season, why can't everyone play in the SHL?!
-
Hmmm this is odd Kasper is having such a good start to his season
-
Buch played in the KHL opener I think but now he's down scoring in the MHL. I read that SKA's teams are so close to each other they like to cycle their prospects through all 3 levels when they can so it'll be interesting to see what he does this season. Kasper's skating looks improved a little bit maybe? Either way he's looking good in the SHL so far this season I would say.

Apparently he's been moved up to SKA's second line which is kinda nuts!
-
I am interested to see how Zadina does with a new coaching staff. I could see this contract being a steal but I could also see him not living up to it just as easily.

I used to really like Pronman's stuff but more and more of his evaluations baffle me as time goes on. Seems weird to me to have Mazur so far down his list when he's done nothing but impress since being drafted. Sebrango has already played against men and held his own. I feel like the Athletic writers seem to gravitate towards smaller highly skilled players when wanting to give good evaluations. Unfortunately you need other types of players to build a winning team...

I may also be overhyping myself on Anton Johansson too: nice little forward pass in the neutral zone to spring them nicStrong play + pass to set up another goal, 1+2 in this game. He looks like he has pretty solid awareness and physical abilities, get Kronwall on the ice with him asap!

I 100% am way more hyped than I should be lol
-
He played on the fourth line for SKA's big club! Looks like they're giving him another preseason game today, though he only played 13 minutes this last game.
-
I think this was always the thinking they had, it is all about projecting where he can end up with his size, athleticism, and work ethic. It is risky but if he develops that would be awesome.

I didn't watch a ton but from my limited viewings I would swap Sebrango and Wallinder in their groups, and swap Niederbach and Edvinsson in their groups. But just my feeling on the prospects for sure. I thought Sebrango was solid but it was about what I expected from what I saw. I thought Wallinder played pretty well for a mess of a team, even with his flaws I thought he showed enough good to be mildly excited. I'll be shocked if Niderbach ever plays in the NHL for more than a handful of games. I see Wheeler's write up on Cossa calls out his goal given up over his shoulder, never mentions that it deflected off his defenseman's stick and wasn't aimed there originally. It sucks he wasn't the guy for Canada but the kid is a project I'm fine giving him time.

His skating looked a bit weird to me in the little I saw, I thought he was injured outside of the food poisoning or whatever. I was guessing some sort of groin issue. I also wasn't very impressed with Sweden's coaching staff or forward group really. Edvinsson wasn't getting any special teams play I believe, which seems odd. He kept trying to force Andrae on the power play and it just....never worked. Just go look at their 5 on 3 against Finland, what a joke! It obviously isn't a "plus" but I'm not too worried about him not being super invested while sick/injured at a random rescheduled summer WJC where some top prospects didn't go and where his coach seemed in over his head. If anything this tournament kinda makes me think Niederbach is a zero as a prospect... Fun little assist from Wallinder:
-
Love our European scouts' work the last few drafts.
-
Disappointing for the team but it seems like Mazur and Savage played well
-
Oh great news on Simon! I was mildly worried because I found no info on it yesterday. Food poisoning it sounds like? Looks like he's healed 😂
-
Edvinsson out with some sort of injury
-
Bednar got pulled against Latvia, oof
-
Love all the prospect footage about right now

Looks like Downer Nilsson played wing on Frolunda's top line this morning, Kasper has been Rogle's 2C. Johannson is back with his SHL club which is great to see. I'm hearing Viro has been virtually invisible at the WJC, guess it is good that he isn't making huge mistakes but I expected him to be a bit of a force this tourny.
