I think Dickerson was talking about the insane offensive numbers being put up in AAA this year. And maybe last year as well. All these 25 years old raking at AAA may just be benefiting from whatever is in the water at AAA.

Saw yesterday, on Apple+ TV I think, that the Tigers have the easiest schedule (by opponent's winning percentage) in MLB the rest of the season. Who knows what adding Skubal, Manning, and a healthy Turnbull could mean in the second half. If the Tigers are in this position at the trade deadline would Harris trade Rodriguez? I bet he would if the return was significant.

The only area where the offense has improved slightly is in BB/per game. Instead of being 30th in the league, as they were last year, they are 22nd. Pretty much every other category they are 29th or 30th.

Scoing is up almost a half a run in MLB. OPS up 30 points. So you are correct.

Toronto had a couple of brainfarts on the bases as well. That kind of stuff fires of fans, but in the big picture it only marginally affects overall results. You can't "focus on fundamentals" your way to respectability, not at the MLB level. You need better players with better talent. Some organizations are better than others at spotting it and developing it. Hopefully the Tigers are moving in that direction after cleansing the organization of Avila and his minions.

I don't think I read one post on here complaining about this trade. I was a big Paredes fan throughout his development, and yet I was happy with the trade. It did annoy me that the Tigers never fully committed to giving Paredes a real chance.

On TV is synched up almost perfectly now. Better than past years.

I wonder if anyone has ever put this Sparky axiom under the microscope? What is the correlation between a team's winning percentage after 40 games and the rest of the season? My guess is there might be a slight correlation but it's likely way overstated, as many things Anderson said were.

It's been like this through most of the Illitch family ownership. Two thirds of the seasons have been below .500, usually well below the mark. The Tigers had the second most wins of any AL franchise prior to 1990. Not many great teams but usually competitive.

Mike cared but after his first season it took him 12 years to post another winning record. Ten winning seasons in 30 seasons under Illitch family ownership. By far the worst ownership group in Tigers history.

Plus he had two nice at bats. Earned a walk in his first AB (with a competent ump) and the HR.

2019 is underrated as one of the most god-awful teams in baseball history.
