  1. There could be. Men and women are physiologically different. Could there not also be inherent behavioral differences? There are much more similarities than differences, but I do not think we can rule out the idea that there might be inherent differences beyond the obvious physiological ones.
  2. That is part of it.
  3. Baseball made it very clear for a long time that any kind of gambling in the game was strictly prohibited. Players didn't get to choose what kind of gambling they could do. It was all wrong... Until MLB figured out that it was profitable.
  4. Avila has never had a plan B before, so I suppose that would be progress.
  5. They need some defense up the middle, but Simmons had a .558 OPS this year. If they can't do better than that, they might as well go with Kreidler (who supposedly is a good defender).
  6. Tigers pursue. Rangers and Mets acquire.
  7. Boyd being non-tendered is kind of a big deal. It's not a big surprise, but he's been around for a long time and we once had high hopes.

  9. I remember the outrage when Wayne Garland signed for 10 years 2.3 million.
  10. It is interesting that players and teams seem to be rushing to make agreements before December 1. Does that say anything about the CBA negotiations? Maybe that they expect them to last a really long time?
  11. Americans are five years late and counting...in figuring out that Trump is a fraud.
  12. Simmons was anemic last year. He'll get a one-year deal with a team that doesn't expect to make the playoffs. I am hoping the Tigers are beyond that. If it comes to that, they might as well just go with Kreidler.
  13. Something we can all agree on!
  14. Rittenhouse went there to protect people (one of his stories). That is vigilantism. He just wasn't very good at it and he got himself into a situation where he had to protect himself. Now, he's a hero.
  15. That is true. You should all be proud of yourselves. This is supposed to be a sports forum site, but now we've got all kinds of "new" people coming here just for the politics and never even posting in the sports forums.
  16. He should take the same test Trump took. When he passes, he will be a genius. I best he can even identify an elephant if they show him a picture.
  17. How about Clemens and Bonds?
  18. Person Woman Man Camera TV
  19. There are no fiscal responsibility trophies!
  20. So, Rittenhouse did nothing wrong legally and Arbery's killers committed obvious murder. Rittenhouse shot his pursuers in self defense (in the moment) while Arbery did not threaten his murderers. That seems pretty different to me. And yes, I do think our gun laws and people's attitudes about them suck. I am horrified that we allow vigilantism and that people are celebrated for it. That sounds like something that would happen in a third world country.
  21. When did those happen? Israel has been in a lot of wars, but I can't find any wars between Israel and UAE. The agreements between Israel and UAE/Bahrain were not peace agreements. It was a military agreement where they would join forces against Iran. There was nothing historic about it. That was just the usual Trump doing something insignificant and trying to build it into something historic. You guys fell for it again.
  22. Players that draw walks age better than players who don't because that's a skill that doesn't deteriorate fast. Fielding skill also tends to go quicker than hitting skill. He does have an unusual skill set though, so it's hard to find comparisons. For what it's worth (not a lot), the most similar batter at the same age was Jonathan Schoop.
  23. I suspect Baez won't age well, but I doubt he'll lose power.
