  1. If Brad and Dan stay on the current trajectory, it may not be a once in a lifetime chance.
  2. Exactly. The way to really beat down the Lions defense is with the deep passing attack. I’m not worried about Brock Purdy exploiting that. Baker Mayfield though…….
  3. 49ers are beatable. Beat the Bucs.
  4. I understand not doing it. They have all three now for this one minute drive.
  5. Why is Greg Olson’s tie a rectangle
  6. Packers DB needs to go get the panties off the field that CMC juked him out of
  7. Not even Vildor blows coverage that bad. At least he would be in the TV screen. Surprised they don’t go for two there.
  8. Me: “what the **** is with that spot, this is terrible.” Girlfriend: “why are all of their butts so big?” *orders another shot
  9. Neither of these teams look dangerous, but I know they are
  10. Love isn’t the same QB he was last week. Both of these look beatable by a Lions team playing their A-game.
  11. And they come away with a goose egg.
  12. And play calling. They seemed content with 3.
  13. Stupid play call gets stupid results.
  14. Packers are having a lot of success running the ball early.
  15. This pattern of Lions staff taking one look at Charlotte's dumpster fire and saying "no thanks" is very entertaining to me.
  16. John and Jim trading jobs after winning their respective championships may be the funniest thing to ever happen to organized sports. And the family is just crazy enough for me to say there is a 1% chance it happens.
  17. I think if you ranked the 14 playoff teams before the wildcard round, the Bucs would be between 12th and 14th in most rankings. I’m not surprised they aren’t getting much love.
  18. I will say - if you add to the equation that it’s pouring rain in SF, like it’s supposed to today, that might change my calculus. I do think it’s important that the playing conditions be favorable if the game is not played indoors. The forecast for Santa Clara next Sunday is 68 and partly cloudy, which - you might as well be indoors it’s so nice.
  19. If Jordan Love is ‘on’ (which admittedly is a big if), I actually think SF is a better matchup for us, home or away. Purdy is less likely to be able to take advantage of our secondary. Not that he can’t, but SF’s offense is predicated on the run game, their offensive line, and the short to intermediate passing game between CMC, Aiyuk, Deebo, and Kittle. Which is what the Lions typically are able to stop on defense. It’s not all that dissimilar to our offense, except with Gibbs, ASB, Jamo, and LaPorta. Whereas Love, when he’s good, has no qualms about airing it out 50 yards downfield to an open receiver who’s got 5 yards separation from Vildor.
  20. Texans might beg to differ!
  21. If Green Bay hands Dallas their ass on a platter in Jerry World, and then goes into SF and takes out the 49ers, I would be not be eager to be the team to play them next.
  22. When people ask I’ll tell them it stands for mother****ing first-place
