  1. Yet again it looks like they've unjustly excluded @buddha from entering into the competition. Surprised the footage of security dragging him out didn't make the cut for this video. 😉
  2. I think the question would be whether NFL defenses, with an offseason of preparation and a handful of games of tape on him, can scheme against him. He caught the league by storm last year, and I don't think he will catch the Chiefs or Seahawks napping in weeks one and two. I think there will be schemed answers for him, but only to an extent. I think opponents will struggle to scheme against preventing both sides of the line (Hutch and Houston/Okwara/Harris) from getting home. We will probably see Hutch have some weeks where he is held off of the stat line while Houston gets multiple QB hits, and vice versa. And a few wonderful weeks where they are both wreaking havoc.
  3. I'm really intrigued to see what Houston can do in a full season of work. He played like a top ten pick in the stretch of last season. Is that sustainable? I think part of his success was because the opposing game plan against our d-line was to just eliminate Hutch. With Harris and both Okwaras out, we really had nothing on the other side of Hutch until Houston came onto the scene. That said, you don't record 8 sacks and 12 tackles in 7 games without some real talent.
  4. I think this graphic is combining 2021 and 2022 somehow, with us taking Jameson Williams a year early. High quality journalism there.
  5. I don't think they would change a thing. It was Sewell back then, it would be Sewell today. People forget he's only 22 years old. He'll likely be our franchise LT for at least two contracts after Decker's deal expires, and it's not an exaggeration to say he has Hall of Fame potential if he can keep his upward trajectory going.
  6. I can see it now. Five episodes of Aaron Rodgers doing things for attention and then immediately claiming he doesn't want the attention.
  7. I don’t dislike it, I just would really like them reinvent those black alternates from the early 2000s. I think black chrome with a honolulu blue logo outlined would have looked sick
  8. Meh. They could have done better.
  9. I wouldn’t put it past the league to do so something like this. Not that they’d ever publicly announce some agreement, but the only thing the NFL cares more about than image is money. If Hard Knocks covering the Lions would make them substantially more than their next best option, and the Lions quietly said we would only do it if they’d re-evaluate the suspension, I could totally see them announcing that upon a review of the totality of the circumstances, he’s only suspended two games. I don’t think they care that much about the Lions doing Hard Knocks though.
  10. The NFL needs to re-write the months of June and July for the next season of their soap opera. The lull between schedule release and training camp isn't cutting it for me. OTAs ain't enough, give me something juicy.
  11. I would enjoy it immensely from a fan perspective but if Campbell/Holmes/Wood/Hamp don't think it's in the team's best interest (which I could definitely see an argument for), then I totally agree with declining. For instance, I'm sure a storyline would be Jamo's suspension/first 23 games of his career and the gambling suspensions generally. It's probably fair to say we have more than enough Carlos Monarrez's as it is.
  12. The Jets seem like the obvious answer of teams that can be forced, and I don't give a flying you-know-what that the prima donna Rodgers doesn't want to. I'm sure it's a much easier process for everyone involved though when you find a willing team. I'm not sure what a team is allowed to say is "off limits" from the cameras (like the Cardinals coach getting arrested last year) and what NFL Films is allowed to say too bad we want to film that anyway. But I'm sure that negotiation/exchange is much easier and creates a much better progress when everyone is okay with everyone else being there in the first place.
  13. So is Kansas City but no one seems as gung ho about relocating them now that there are two (alleged) money makers in LA. I agree there is a snowball’s chance in hell they move a team back to STL anytime soon. My only point is that they deserve a team more than friggin’ Daytona.
  14. It’s a huge stretch to say that STL couldn’t support the Rams. They supported them far better than LA supports either the Rams or the Chargers. St. Louis just got shafted by being on the wrong end of an ownership’s greed.
  15. A return to St. Louis would make more sense... Relocation to London is probably most realistic, even though it would be nearly universally hated. Daytona is so touristy that it would be almost trying to replicate the Vegas move. But Daytona is no Vegas.
  16. The Commies are in a weird spot. New ownership is coming in with zero loyalty to any of the current regime. Rivera (and probably Mayhew) are on the hot seat after three straight years of being the textbook definition of NFL purgatory (7-9, 7-10, and 8-8-1). Yet they seem determined towards going into the season with 5th round pick Slingin' Sammy Howell at QB and are routinely in the 20s of power rankings, stuck in a division with clearly better Eagles and Cowboys teams and the probably better Giants. You would think they are not the types who would part with Young in a contract year. Obviously they are better this year with Young than with future draft picks, and you would think that anything they can do to squeak out wins and get another year they would do. Unless Rivera and Mayhew can convince Josh Harris the team needs to be blown up (probably true), that Snyder wouldn't let them (probably true), and that they are the right guys to do it (eh, maybe). I wouldn't give more than a 3rd or 4th round pick and some depth though. I'm not even sure we would be able to pay him long-term with the contracts that will soon be owed to ASB and Sewell, followed by Hutch, Jamo, and Kerby.
  17. Jacksonville is not a great city to host an NFL team. Probably 32/32. Not that Daytona would be any better.
  18. One thing I give the NHL credit for is that they’re not afraid to take risks sometimes. The NFL has a business plan and it gets them buckets and buckets of money. But they’ll never be a guinea pig.
  19. Eh, maybe if they knew the day of. If they learned about it 3-6 months later, those videos were probably long gone. There is also the issue that the NFL doesn't have any real power to make a private corporation like a hotel hand over video.... though I'm sure they have a way of per$ua$ion that goes a long way. In any event, the failure of the NFLPA to really do anything is just weird.
  20. These are the kinds of things you’d think the NFLPA would be all over, but they’ve been radio silent. It’s bizarre.
  21. I’d be shocked if Jamo is the only one who violated this rule, let alone didn’t know it.
