  1. Methinks this is a bad decision. Even if he's a better QB talent wise than Gardner Minshew, you're just asking for disaster to strike his career by throwing him to the defensive line wolves like this. Have some recognition that your roster sucks and that you're not going to win 9+ games. Take your lumps and prep him for 2024. Or learn nothing from Justin Fields and hope that AR15 is the anomaly that can overcome being a rookie signal caller surrounded by a dog **** roster.
  2. Is there a buy-in or is it free? Either way, let me know if you end up desperate for one right before the draft. I struggle sometimes to keep on top of two leagues with one on ESPN and one on Keeper though, let alone adding a Yahoo league lol I had thoughts last year that we should have a Fantasy Football thread for just general fantasy and DFS thoughts. I’m sure a handful of us play. This could be a good spot for that.
  3. This, along with his 89.3 PFF rating, is what I saw specifically. He is #91, the better look is on replay.
  4. Metrics and film are saying that Levi had a really good game, despite not having a super flashy stat line like the Okwaras.
  5. I guess I would counter that why would the Lions bother proposing the rule change if they didn’t see a reason to use it. It’s possible they could say that it’s only worth it in playoff games (so you aren’t the 49ers playing CMC at QB in the NFC Championship Game), but the NFL is a league that can easily be decided by one game. I would hate to see Goff and Teddy both go into concussion protocol in week three (by mistake like ASB??), be forced to use Jack Fox (or whoever) as the QB, lose 14-9, and then miss the playoffs or lose the division by a game. It’s a remote possibility of course, but one that enough thought was worth a rule change to prevent. I don’t think keeping someone like an Obinna Eze or Trinity Benson active (but not dressed and unable to enter the game) is worth that risk.
  6. Depends on who is playing. They’ll travel for Michigan-USC or Ohio State-Oregon. Probably not so much for Penn State-Purdue. The Wisconsin-Nebraska Championship ten years ago game had well less than a capacity crowd at Lucas Oil. I doubt those fans will travel to Allegiant Stadium and fill those seats.
  7. With the new rule they’re kind of incentivized to keep a 3rd QB because it effectively allows them to have 46 game day players instead of 45. Certainly if Goff and/or Teddy go down for any length of time they’ll pick up a Matt Ryan or Carson Wentz, but I think out of a break-glass-in-case-of-emergency QB, you’re really just looking for someone dirt cheap who knows the playbook and can avoid catastrophic mistakes. I think not viewing him as top 100 is fair, but it’s so hard to compare the scrapes of the barrel. I still think he might be better than either Boyle or Blough and those are the types you’re looking at as QB3 options.
  8. If they like someone who gets cut, I’m definitely not opposed to replacing him, but if the standards for QB3 are finding a top-96 player at the position, you won’t find many quality players. Given that he knows the playbook and the team, he may be the best option. If he ever came into a regular season game, something went seriously wrong. All he would be asked to do though is hand the ball off and complete short 5-15 yard routes with very few looks.
  9. Long term I think I’d like to add two club seats as well. Partially because they come with parking included, but also it would let me choose what kind of experience I want game to game. I can always sell or give away my other two. Like you said, it does kind of suck to have no idea what’s going on when the ball is at the opposite end zone, but you’re so close to the action generally that it kind of makes up for it.
  10. With the new rule about emergency QBs, I would actually expect both Sudfeld and Martinez to last at least until Hooker is healthy enough that he could take snaps in case of emergency. If they start Hooker on the NFI list (which only makes sense), then he can’t play for the first eight weeks. QB Active: Goff, Bridgewater QB Emergency (dresses but not active unless QB1 and QB2 are injured or ejected): Sudfeld QB Practice Squad: Martinez NFI: Hooker After eight weeks, if you feel more comfortable with Hooker than Sudfeld, you could release Sudfeld and activate Hooker. After the eight weeks you could also choose to start having Hooker practice, though if he’s not activated within three weeks of starting to practice he is ineligible to play for the rest of the season. I think I would just as soon let Hooker just soak it all in from the sideline for a full year though. Let him practice at some point if you’re 100% comfortable with Sudfeld as QB3.
  11. I got lucky when I upgraded. They were the only two available closer than the 20th row or so.
  12. I don’t think it was sold out, but attendance was better (even late in the game) than many games I saw in 2021. Better than Vikings and Cardinals that year for sure. Probably on par with the Jaguars game last year.
  13. That’s my FOURTH STRING QUARTERBACK
  14. No touchdowns here 😞
  15. Is there anything in Wayne? Nothing has been announced at the stadium as of now.
  16. I try to live in the moment here, but I’m glad I got this one. IMG_5914.mov
  17. Good job by Holmes not letting this tape go public before signing Bridgewater. Probably saved us a couple million.
  18. I do hope we see at least a little better offensive performance with Teddy next week. With Gibbs and Jamo both in, that was probably a pretty accurate preview of what a Sudfeld led offense would have looked like. Eek.
  19. Kind of sad when you consider these are probably Sudfeld’s last professional snaps.
  20. Just wait until you find out they won the toss and elected to receive.
  21. Romeo Okwara with a brutal offside penalty. Not a good way to earn a spot on this team.
  22. Jamo has too much talent to not figure it out. He’s had a rough start but he’ll get there.
  23. The “Let’s go Lions” chants on offense will drive me ducking crazy every time
