At 7-5, the Lions are not waving the white flag on the season.

I hate it here I want to go home.

This is giving off these vibes. Vikings are 4-8 since this regular season celebration.

It’s hard not to blame coaching to some extent. Obviously there are the offensive problems, but even that has to fall at the feet of the people who hired those people. With the amount of talent on this team, it’s inexcusable to be 7-5. It’s even worse to be 1-3 in the division. Bumps in the road are okay, and are going to happen. Sometimes you’ll lose games like yesterday when the officials decide to acknowledge the opponent’s timeouts a second early but not your own challenge a second late. NFL games are too competitive to lose as many as 11 points due to uncontrollable elements. But you can’t allow them to snowball. And it sure feels like they are, despite managing to not lose two in a row all this time.

LaFluer went into this season knowing he needed to beat the Lions to win this division. And he did it. Campbell got outcoached 2/2 games this season. That’s not to say it’s over between them. LaFleur got outcoached 2/2 games last season. But things need to improve. We can’t let mediocre QB Jordan Love torch us every November, but that’s just a start. The hiring of Morton was bad. Can’t happen again. We need an OC that knows who this roster has and can make use of them: It’s not over yet. But this is shaping into the season of “what could have been”
