Definitely a lot of blue there but I dont think it's the 22% that some projected though.
The 22 was always silly. It was 22 of stub hub resales. Not every ticket went up for resell.

No one is saying Dan Campbell should go give Kyle Shanahan a ****ty handshake-shove postgame and start a fight in the tunnel, or score 70 points against a hapless Broncos defense, or run a fake kneel up 20+ points.
I don't see how using a timeout that you have in your pocket with 38 seconds left in a one-score game is poor form. Maybe in a nine-point game. But in a one-possession game, I want to get the ball and somehow tie the game. Those are my only objectives. There are no politics or niceties to it. Taking that timeout will help me get the ball and tie the game.
The offense taking a knee is them offering a hand to shake, it doesn't mean the defense has to shake it when it's not mathematically over, and I don't think not calling the timeout on 1st or 2nd down is shaking the hand.
It's poor form to use it on third down when you've indicated you're not using it on first and second.
Nobody would have a problem about it on first down, but that's not what we are talking about here. We're talking about waving the white flag and then pulling it down and competiting. That is a **** move and crazy un-sportsman like. You want the ball back no biggie, call it on first down. It's not politics or niceties its not being a ****

If it's the NFC Championship and it's our last chance at salvaging a win then...
I WANT DC to do that and I believe he SHOULD do that...
IMO.
Got it, you don't believe if any sportsmanship and go hard no matter the score until thr last moment all the time no matter what. Basically the guy everyone in sports hates.

Yeah...
This is probably what I was thinking of...
Because you're correct, you don't want your QB or anyone else injured by playing stupid games with unsaid rules (although I've seen a few V-formations busted which... also pissed everyone off...).
But I think a fake "concede" is much more akin to a fake spike. All a fake concede would do is trick to claim more seconds to try a last gasp win in a critical game. It might piss everyone off but no one is in danger of an injury since it's not an actual play. I mean, a fake spike is an actual play... but I think much less egregious than the fake kneel-down.
I would put a fake "concede" into the same boat as a fake "spike"...
IMO.
Gamesmanship.
Just cause you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD do something.

It also has to do with location. Easy call this time since one is on the east coast and the other on the west coast. basically the games are starting at the same time locally.
No they switch off. It's set before the year even starts team location doesn't matter. They switch off cause one always bleeds into prime time and the other doesn't.
Last year, for example, niners and eagles was early. And Bengals and chiefs was late. The year before afc was early. The year before that nfc early.

I wonder how the NFL decides who gets the afternoon game and who gets the night game for the Championship Game?
I always assumed that they would just put what they thought the better matchup would be last but I'm guessing that isn't the case since they announced the schedule yesterday before any of the teams played today.
Maybe the respective networks just alternate every year and this was the year Fox so in turn the NFC got the night game?
They switch off

I would feel better losing to the 49ers than Packers, but it wouldn't sit well with me losing to someone named Brock.

I don’t understand why fans want to make a controversy over the slightest thing someone says. She was booed, it was her experience. She has a right to talk about it if she wants. She said nothing controversial or untrue. Why not just enjoy the Lion’s success and let others express their perspective without getting all pissy.
I wouldn't go that far when she basically implies she was treated poorly or that there shouldn't be booing at a pro sports game, other have the right to defend themselves/call her out.
By just throwing your arms up and saying oh well is the mentality she wants.
I remembered going to tigers games in the 90s when the Indians flooded the place. I remember getting booed in our own damn stadium. Sometimes the fans would boo them buy me a soda other times they would just boo. It was never malicious and part of thr game and if you don't expect it or can't take it, keep your family at home.

I was thinking same thing. specifically, if Johnson leaves and goes to, say Washington, or another team w/o a long term QB, does he say to his new GM, "Hooker is worth 2 second round picks?"
We forget sometime that the guy was having an all-time great year before the knee injury. And riding with Goff for the next 6 years leaves little room for HH.
1 hour ago, Mr.TaterSalad said:Serious, but maybe dumb, question. What trade value, if any, does Hendon Hooker have at this point? Is there a world where a rebuilding team or QB desperate team like Atlanta gives him a try and you can get more than you paid for him?
He hasn't thrown a pass, maybe a 7th rounder. Maybe, in 2029

Dan Campbell seems tailor made to be underestimated as an intellectual.... Texas accent, over-the-top demeanor (ie. biting off kneecaps). But he's really smart. I think people in the league understand it, but to an extent, fans outside of Detroit are still catching up.
He's a texas A&M grad, can't be that smart

I think you have to pass it twice after the 2 minute warning.
First one can be a run, just has to be about your most go to-play you got to get positive yards
