  4. It sounds like Alridge was given the resign or be investigated option. He should not have been given an option to avoid an investigation. This is unreal. Like did a crime not happen if the perpetrator is no longer there. Hey victim, calm down, the perpetrator is gone. We are all good. This is CRAZY!
  5. You may be right. I think the goal of these trades for Houston is to get multiple firsts and for Miami or Carolina to get a better QB because they have seen all they need to see of their young QB. The young QB coming back is just likely to get them out of the QB room and/or free some salary. So it’s more like Stafford/Goff. Now Houston may have settled on being terrible for a while and will just stick with Tua. But I think 2 of these 3 teams will entertain drafting a QB if the trade happens and all 3 of no trade happens.
  6. I don’t know you. I know who you present here. I felt one way about that presentation before this conversation. I am calm.
  7. Also having a PR guy doesn’t make you any less of a piece of shit, it just allows you to hide. Interestingly, your take on the people involved in the coverup and enabling of a sexual assault has me looking at you completely differently than I did yesterday.
  8. Yeah, that’s not the point. Is this what a strawman looks like? It was an example of how I feel.
  9. If a team is in on the Watson trade then they are open to drafting a QB if they think the one is there. Carolina and Miami (and Houston too) are in that boat. They are absolutely in the market if the right guy is there. Indy is not tied to Wentz unless he plays 75% this year, or 70% and they make the playoffs. That is not a foregone conclusion.
  10. If I find out my friend covered up a sexual assault we won’t be friends anymore. There really isn’t any wiggle room here. To me it’s like saying, “what about all the good things Hitler did?” Doesn’t matter. Of course Toews didn’t just find out. He knew about it while it was happening. He’s a piece of shit. We need hold people accountable for their actions, or inaction in this case. If he’d learned from his mistake and grown then there is some leeway. He clearly hasn’t as he’s mourning what the perpetrators have lost.

  12. New Orleans, Houston, Miami, Indy, Steelers, Philly, and Carolina. Giants, maybe.
  13. I think you take a mid to late round QB if you have a hunch. You have to be comfortable knowing you will miss on that hunch WAY more often than you hit and you can't take that risk very often, but if you can get Wilson or Prescott then it's clearly the correct decision. They are two of the very best.
  14. Rodgers was frustrated with his receivers for most of the game. Aaron Jones was the leading receiver. He did throw 2 TDs to the WR he allegedly forced the team to trade for in the offseason. This game was proof that great QBs with a strong running game can be successful. The receivers did not look good at all. The longest pass was to Tonyan, a TE, for 33 yards. The longest pass to a WR was 12 yards. It also took a defensive TD and a muffed punt inside the 5 yard line (which they couldn't turn into a TD) to get 10 of the 24 points. They got the win because of one of the ugliest plays of the year by the Cardinals.
  15. The end of that game was embarrassing. Coming out of a timeout with 12 seconds left down 3 around the 10 Murray throws the ball to AJ Green who doesn’t even turn around and the DB picks it off. Ridiculous.
  16. Green Bay has been running the ball. Rodgers had 184 passing yards.
  17. Somehow you list the 5% of QBs that work out yet plan on hitting in consecutive years! Meanwhile for 34 games the team will be without an absolute superstar at another position of need. Let’s go with pass rusher as that’s the second most valuable position. If you are comfortable just assuming the QBs taken will be worth multiple 1sts then it seems safe to assume they will nail the alternative. Why pass on a perennial pro bowl, all pro, and sure fire hall of fame pass rusher for a backup QB?
  18. Everyone would select Dak with what we know now. That’s not how this works. And before we give the Cowboys too much credit, they didn’t even take him with their first 4th round pick! They almost didn’t even take him at all! ”After selecting Elliott early in the first, the Cowboys attempted to trade with multiple teams for another first round selection in order to draft quarterback Paxton Lynch.[76] They were unsuccessful in finding a trade and it wasn't until their second fourth round pick that they decided on a quarterback with Mississippi State's Dak Prescott being selected 135th overall.”
  19. Arizona punt returner touched a punt then pretended like he didn’t and Green Bay recovered. How stupid are players? There are like 100 cameras and replay. Unreal.
  20. I appreciate this post as it proves my point. Thank you. 1989 draft and 1st and 4th round picks are the examples. I don’t think anyone would mind if the Lions took a late round flyer on a QB in the same year they take one in the 1st.

  22. Nobody drafts 1st round QBs in back-to-back years unless the first one is terrible for a reason. To get multiple 1st round picks in return for a player that player needs to prove they are a franchise QB for a white. That means they need to play, a lot and consistently well. So you will need to start the QB you want to trade, hoping that the backup you aren't playing will be as good or better, but you don't know because they don't play. And if you do this and it all happens to work out then you have to explain to the team/ownership/fanbase why you didn't play the better player all along! And the time you spent showcasing the lesser QB that you want to trade you have 1 less talented player on the roster because you spent that pick on a backup QB. GMs and coaches have to prove themselves yearly or risk losing their jobs, so they are not going to risk current success on a gamble like this.
  23. Do you have an example of this working? The closest I can think of is Brees and Rivers and Brees was a free agent. It's a beautiful fantasy but in reality you end up with the Josh Rosen trade. Sure Kyler Murray seems to be working out, but they could have Kyler Murray and Minkah Fitzpatrick instead.
