The Lions have made it clear that they want bigger linemen on run downs. Paschal and Cominsky are good fits, as is Hutch. Paschal plays inside at times. I think they are a top 10 d-line in the NFL. If they added Carter, then I think they would be elite.

You're spending resources at the draft. Also remember that corner is a prime position, and it's hard to find corners in free agency without overpaying; yet the best corners are usually young and athletic. The Lions have some corners on the roster now, so they can afford to take their time behind Okudah and Jacobs. I think Gonzalez would walk in on day one and be the #1 corner for the Lions.

I'd rather not overpay for corner, especially when this draft is really deep at the position. It's really the position the Lions need to catch up with the rest of the league.

I think the reason for his demotion from the list is because his defense at third is kind of meh. But he does have a big arm, and I think the Tigers should be moving him out to RF asap to take advantage of his arm. I think his offense is ready to blow up, especially if he starts the year in the band box known as Erie.

Also, if Richardson slips in the first to 18, and corners I like are gone, then I would draft Richardson there. I also think that there's a slight chance Bijan would slip to 18.

My dream scenario for the Lions is to come out with two top corners. I would love to get Gonzalez and Witherspoon in the first. Hopefully the Lions can take care of DT, RG, and RB in free agency. I wouldn't mind drafting Bennett later, but he's going higher than anybody thinks right now. I would take him in the 3rd, he's very athletic and can get the ball deep accurately.

The Bears are trading down for a guard? I would take Christian Gonzalez at 6, and I wouldn't think that Anderson would be there in a million years. I still wouldn't take him, the Lions have 55 edge players on their roster right now, a couple better than Anderson imo.

Caputo got mad that everybody was just asking about Cody Ross, said he was a 4A player. Oh, the good times.

I think that I have subscribed to BA for 20 seasons, or so. Highlight was in 2003 when In the chat, me, Eddie and Brian all asked Pat Caputo why Cody Ross wasn't in the top 10. I think Cody was 21 years old and playing well in Toledo at the time.

At the very least, the Lions have a crying need for a backup. They have scouted Florida heavily all year. IMO, Richardson would be a perfect type to draft this year. He's the most talented QB in this draft.

It's a great time to buy CD's. I bought 2 (through Fidelity on my IRA) at 5.1% that were not call protected, and 4 at 4.4% that are protected. I think they are both 3 years or so.
