McHugh makes a lot of sense for the Tigers right now.

I think Willis has a higher ceiling than any QB available next year, but he's also a little risky. I think it would mitigate the risk by having him sit for at least a year.

MALIK WILLISQB, LIBERTY FLAMES PFF draft analyst Trevor Sikkema said on the NFL Stock Exchange Podcast that he heard Liberty QB Malik Willis has a chance to go at second overall to the Detroit Lions. The top of this year's draft is more unpredictable than ever before. There is little consensus at the top of the draft and we only have a decent guess as to who goes first overall. This amount of limbo breeds excellent speculation and Willis (6'1/215) is the latest beneficiary. After a stunning combine and Senior Bowl, Willis going in the top-10 has seemed more and more likely. There have been rumors circulating that the Lions are fans of Willis and with their need a quarterback, there is credence to the idea of selecting him at number two overall. I don't like the receivers in free agency, would rather they draft em. Love the Reynolds signing, won't affect the compensation needle, which is what they really need, more picks.
-
I wouldn't touch Hamilton, either. That 4.59 doesn't belong with the elite talents in this draft.
-
Also, if Hutch goes #1, I would have no problem in drafting either Willis, Watson, or Jordan Davis. Even Jordan Walker. Thibodeaux is a hot mess, I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole.
-
I haven't said it yet, but I've admired his work from afar for a while, I watched this receiver last year when I thought we would have a chance to draft his QB last year, and now, after digesting a ton, Christian Watson is my #1 receiver in this draft. I think he's a top ten talent.

You're not a lefty. Shifts are far more damaging to lefties.- 1,851 replies

Thinking about the rest of the division, who won't have nearly the picking power the Lions do. Especially the Bears and Packers.
-
This draft is really loaded and deep with premium talent. The Lions should make out pretty well.

Everywhere, like St. Brown.

He's not going that high.

This is my ideal draft for the Lions... 2. Aidan Hutchinson EDGE Michigan 32. Jaquan Brisker S Penn State 35. Trent McDuffie CB Washington 66. Malik Willis QB Liberty 97. Christian Watson WR North Dakota State 177. Skyy Moore WR Western Michigan 180. James Mitchell TE Virginia Tech 218. Julius Turner DT Rutgers 232. Kana'i Mauga LB USC

I agree, he's quicker than fast.

Soto is advised by Scott Boras. He's going to reach free agency, and will go to the highest bidder. He may go for 40 or 50 million per year. The sky is the limit.
-
I disagree. He's going to get a great deal.
-
I think he has good value.

Lots of trading down in this draft... 6. Kayvon Thibodeaux EDGE Oregon 10. Garrett Wilson WR Ohio State 32. Jaquan Brisker S Penn State 34. Perrion Winfrey DT Oklahoma 66. Jalen Pitre S Baylor 97. London is kind of a freak. He has great short area quickness, which is odd given his size.
-
IMO a definite 2nd rounder, and could be first. His 40 will be important, especially his burst. He has great hands, and gets open.

Love Frank Beckmann. Best football announcer from this area, which is a tall task going up against Dan Miller. I've listened to Frank since the 70's.

It's very difficult for a team like Baltimore to compete with both the Yankees and the Rays at the same time, especially when the Rays get extra picks every draft, and the Yankees get the top international player almost every year.- 1,851 replies

Fields looked awful last year.
