Wouldn’t we *not* want to root for the Bears? I’d rather they lose to the Packers next week and swap positions. The Lions aren’t winning the division this year, so let Green Bay have it. Detroit’s best chance at getting in is to overtake the Bears as a wildcard, not the Packers with their two head-to-head wins. Beat Dallas next week, and with a Bears loss to GB it closes the gap to one game. Bingo: that wildcard spot is there for the taking since the Lions get to play the Bears again.
