  1. This has gone beyond the absurd to the ridiculous
  2. Saying you don’t know **** is not the same as saying I know. I don’t, and I’m not willing to brand someone with baseless speculation.
  3. The fact is, it’s just pointless speculation based on very little actual information. You don’t know how much, or to what degree he is utilizing resources, or really what are the actual issues that are holding him back. So any assumptions that he is uncooperative, or that the Tigers are displeased with anything regarding his efforts, other than production, are presumptuous.
  4. And you just carry on being judgmental and making broad assumptions out of random comments
  5. Is there a point to this, or will you just ramble on?
  6. I don’t think he’s a contrary example. I think you are building a world out of floss.
  7. Way to stretch a point beyond recognition
  8. And maybe in his case that’s what he needs to do. It may be that’s exactly what the club wants him to do. Perhaps all the analysis, for him, got him too mechanical. Hitting is a visceral activity. Maybe for him, being more athletic and reacting to what he is seeing is what will untap his ability. Being judgmental and making broad assumptions from random quotes is presumptuous.
  9. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with the quote. People learn and apply skills differently. What’s useful for some doesn’t work for others. You can’t tell what’s actually going on from a few quotes.
  10. Are you basing this on random quotes taken without context? All evidence is he’s a hardworking guy, and for all we know, he may be doing everything the club is asking of him. It’s amazing how fans can take a quote and create a whole scenario out of it.
  11. It’s a shame his arm has never come back.
  12. Both are beyond their sell by dates
  13. They have retained all those options
  14. The Sporting News and Sports Illustrated have sadly become AI driven clickbait
  15. BPA; Best Player Available for that particular team at that particular point in the draft. Of course need, future need, value, everything is quantified
  16. He might not make it to 28, but this draft is pretty deep on the defensive line
  17. Whoever performs is going to play. They have options.
  18. What are you basing any of this on?
  19. To me, a good offensive coach takes advantage of his players strengths and attacks the defensive weaknesses, and a really good coach manipulates things to enhance those two things, but you can still be unsuccessful if you don’t have the talent. I don’t know where Shaw ranks in all that, but I trust Holmes and Carpenter do.
  20. They have players who can play 3b as well as Parades.
  21. Age is a big factor in athletics in that athletes are still developing into the early 20’s and athletic ability peaks and then begins to wane. With quarterbacks however, the skills necessary to compete are less athletically dependent and so age is less a factor.
  22. I don’t think age is that much of a factor because quarterbacks are playing well into their 30’s. What teams care about is can they run an offense, read defenses, efficiently distribute the ball, etc.
