Fox Wismic

Grew up in Detroit and suburbs. Met several of the '68 Tigers (Cash, Northrup, Price, Lolich, Stanley, Freehan). Got to know Jim Northrup well and Norm Cash pretty well. Knew the Ilitch family when Chris and Lisa were kids. Spoke to Frank Tanana on the phone besides meeting him in person. Was at the WS winning game in 1984. Celebrated up and down Gratiot Ave. after the game. Managed baseball and softball teams in East Detroit for over a decade, including a kid named Marshall Mathers, more well known as Eminem. We won the league championship (#3 of 4 in a row for me) and Marshall made the all star team.

My screen name was Wismic (I now live in Wisconsin, grew up in Michigan) in the old M-live forums. Was Silver Fox (to honor Northrup) in the Tigers Den forum.
