He is saving Houston around $20 million this year by doing this. That will allow them to use the full MLE ($14.1 million) in free agency this summer.
-
Love how he organizes this.
-
He has Wolf going 16 and Richardson going 29th. Then Detroit taking some 6'4" wing from Tennessee named Chaz Lanier.

Ivey and Duren are eligible for extensions this summer. Here is what max extensions would look like based on the 2026/27 cap projection of $170 million. Ignore the 35% level. There is no path for someone their age to become eligible for that. To hit the 30% they need to win MVP, DPOY, or make all nba next year. So 25% is the most likely.

1st round of the draft is tonight at 8PM. Pretty boring for us Pistons fans. At least so far.

Player's contracts only pays him for the 82 games in the regular season. It offers no pay for playoff games. There is a playoff pool provided by the league based on playoff ticket sales, etc. Each team is given a different payout by how far you go in the playoffs. Each player on OKC this year will receive just over $800k for playing 23 playoff games. That is just under $35,000 per game. SGA made $40 million this year, or just under $488,000 per game.

I figured they were done. Sounds like one of those things where they are listening, but will only jump at a great offer.

I'm calling in sick if the network assigned me to call an Eastern game.

I would pivot to Tyus Jones if Schroder leaves.

Odds of landing a big time player were probably always small. They became non-existent after what Orlando paid for Bain. The Pistons don't have the capital to make trades like that right now without giving up too many young guys.

Brooklyn now holds the 8, 19, 22, 26, and 27 pick tomorrow.
-
NAW would be nice. Maybe some size/shooting/defense at the 4/5 as well. See how they look with a healthy Ivey, and reassess at the trade deadline.
-
That is a lot of money. These moves were likely to happen even with a healthy Tatum. The new CBA wins again. Imagine paying $210 million and that doesn't cover one cent of salary.
-
A few people reporting that Boston is also looking to move into the top 10 in tomorrow's draft.
-
I guess it moved NO under the luxury tax this year. Took on an extra two years for Poole though.

Trajan is live talking to the media about the draft.
