Phil Hellmuth just won his 17th WSOP bracelet. He is the greatest tournament player in the history of poker IMO. Won the main event, wins in pot limit, limit, and no limit. A razz bracelet and a 2-7 lowball draw bracelet. Phil Ivey, Doyle Bruson, and Johnny Chan are second on the bracelet list with 10 each. Sort of ironic that Hellmuth is considered a joke at cash games and you would not want to see those other three sit at your cash game table.

So this is a bit complicated and I will probably not explain it well. But here is the theory on this deal. The new CBA started July 1st and will not allow teams over the 2nd apron (Like the Clippers) to include cash in a trade. So they make this trade on June 30th before the CBA kicks in and LAC can include the cash. Koprivica sucks and will never play in the NBA, so why would LAC buy his rights? Most feel it was sort of a pre-payment on the upcoming Harden trade. They send the cash before the new CBA kicks in and when the Harden trade goes down we take some garbage to help facilitate the deal for LAC. Just a theory some have come up with. But it makes sense since Koprivica will probably never play in the NBA.

Houston is now paying FVV and Brooks a combined $63m a year. Never let a restaurant owner buy your team.

This is the max they can offer him since he signed so late in the season last year. He could probably get more with other teams. He must like being home in LA.

We get our first look at Chet this Monday at 8PM. Salt Lake City and Sacramento summer leagues both start the 3rd. OKC is playing in one of them.

I did not know this about Monte Morris. He was born in Grand Rapids. Grew up in Flint and graduated from Beecher while winning Michigan's Mr. Basketball.

Pacers sign Bruce Brown for 2/$45m. That sounded awful at first but I guess the second year is a team option. Still a massive overpay.

Wow. Fred VanVleet signs with Houston for 3/$130m. Strus to Cleveland for 4/$64m. I feel like picking up role players from Miami is not a good idea.
