  1. Big EV fan. Love Tesla, drove a few. I just had the F150 Lightning for 3 days of test driving. I am all in on the EV future. But I have questions. What kind of environmental damage are these mines going to do? Are these mines in third world countries? Are we creating another bad actor like the Saudis? But my biggest question is our electrical grid. Hot days see rolling brownouts in California and Texas. How many electric cars can our grid support? They will work it out I am sure.
  2. Berkshire Hathaway lost $43B this quarter. I did not lose $43B this quarter. I am better than Buffett. Suck it, Warren.
  3. Seems like an odd requirement. They had no problem allowing money from the CHIPS Act to flow into companies like TSMC. Of course Intel is about our only serious chip maker in the US and they are a horribly run company. So maybe it was smart letting TSMC get a bite of the pie.
  4. At Ford, Quality Is Now Problem 1 Ford had 6.8M cars recalled this year. Tesla was number 2 at 2.2M. GM third at 1.4M.
  5. That is pretty funny.
  6. FWIW, Basketball-Reference has Stewart playing 100% of his minutes at center his rookie year and 98% last year.
  7. Some good news reported yesterday. The McGruder contract is fully guaranteed.
  8. Stewart is the only legit C on the team. I don't see any reason to play him at PF especially since all the other guys suck so bad. Well, Duren doesn't suck but he just isn't ready for minutes. I guess you can fuck around with dumb rotations in the regular season. But if/when they make the playoffs, Stewart gets 100% of his minutes at C. He has the makings of being an extremely good modern-day C. One of the league leaders in rim protection and switchable on the perimeter. Defensively that is what you want out of your C.
  9. Bad quarter for Aston Martin. They had losses of $327M. Triple the losses they had for the same quarter last year. People are saying another takeover might be necessary. Ferrari reported record quarterly profits. Lamborghini and Bentley both had great quarters, so people are still buying expensive cars.
  10. I love it
  11. That is pretty good.
  12. What s mess. Can't figure out why Alpine would do that. Now someone on Twitter is reporting that Daniel has an option for next season with McLaren.
  13. Tweet is almost 2 hours old and no word from him on this.
  14. I like the move and think people underrate how important a strong veteran presence is for a young team. Burning a roster spot for someone to help teach the kids is perfectly fine with me. Bonus points if he bitch slaps Klay Thompson.
  15. On a serious note. I realize his stake will be small but there isn't a better investment than a pro sports team. The Pistons were bought in 2011 for $325M and Forbes values them at $1.5B today.
  16. F1 offseason might compare to the NBA. Possibly even better since the offseason happens during the season, which is insane. Cliffsnotes: Piastri was looking for a 2022 seat and couldn't find one. Signed as a reserve driver with Alpine with the hopes of getting a seat in 2023. It looked like Alpine was going to keep Alonso another year and have Piastri drive for Williams. He didn't like that and signed a deal with McLaren, I guess for Daniels seat. Alpine claims if they offer him a seat it keeps their contract current and he can't drive for McLaren.
  17. Buddha meltdown in 3...2...
  18. Ferrari should just hand her a blank check.
  19. Binotto gave an interview and said this weekends GP was not winnable and tire choice was not the decisive reason.
  20. Browns therapists wondering why they are getting punished in this.
