You can make a decent case for Duren spending the entire year with the MCC. Don't forget that he reclassified to attend Memphis early and should have graduated high school last month. He doesn't turn 19 until Thanksgiving.

My issue with the Bagley deal is Detroit negotiated against itself. He is restricted so let him bring you an offer then match it. I think the odds of a team making him an offer were pretty small.

Probably the most controversial contract so far. People seem to be losing their mind about the $87M numbers. But over 5 years that is $17.5M per year which is less than 15% of your cap space. For a guy that scores 15+ ppg and plays good defense. Good value now IMO and looks like a steal if Dort can up his three point shooting a couple of points.

Go to East/West divisions. Winner of each division play each other, possibly on New Years. Get one of the worlds most iconic stadiums to host it. Have a parade, a pretty woman to be queen of the event. I don't know. Just kicking the tires to see if this idea could be anything.

Durant is an interesting situation. A player of his caliber be available with 4 years left on his contract and without a no trade clause. Not sure we have ever had this happen. NJ can deal him anywhere and he has almost no say other than threatening not to play. But he misses out on 4 years and $50M a year doing that.

Very interesting about Honda. The general consensus is that Audi will buy a team (Alfa) and Porsche will build engines for Red Bull. Wonder where Honda would end up since they just left Red Bull.

His swing skill will be perimeter defense. He is listed at 250 pounds so he is huge and can bang with the Jokic and Embiid types. If he can also move laterally well enough to stay on the court in the playoffs, he's a unicorn on defense. I can't think of anyone in the league that can defend traditional bigs and the perimeter.

I imagine Duren comes off the bench and starts against teams with traditional bigs.
