So fill me in here. Where is the proof we have tried to bargain to halt this war? I think I read "behind the scenes" but I don't know what exactly that means.

I thought about how I wanted to respond to this, but I couldn't come up with anything. Too many things to cover, but I guess "it sucks" kind of sums it up. For the record; the response to the pandemic was a giant cluster fuck from day one, and still is. By everyone calling the shots (no pun intended). Millions of people unnecessarily died because of ineptness, politics, lack of readiness (this was not a Black Swan), and of course money. So people will continue to die because we have adapted an acceptable death rate - so all is good. There are too many people anyway, and way too many old ones, and they aren't productive anyway. If all these fucking pukes worked as hard at helping us (the people in charge, not the people who have to deal with this insanity on a daily basis - the real foot soldiers) instead of getting everyone to hate each other.... But I digress. We should be better than this.

Wow, a little bit of truth bomb from the typical mouth organ Politico. Dumped on Thanksgiving eve no less. Europe accuses US of profiting from war NO! Tell us is ain't so. Maybe these dumbasses are as bad with history as so many others. Back in 2014 when our busy little CIA and neo-con war criminals had their noses buried in the cesspool of corruption and money laundering operation known as Ukraine, someone fucked up. Neo-con war monger Victoria Nuland (currently Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, married to Robert Kagan, co-founder of the PNAC) accidentally told the truth. "Fuck the EU" she exclaimed. Why, yes, it is all plain now Vicky baby. Leaked audio reveals embarrassing U.S. exchange on Ukraine, EU - from 2014 But struggling Americans and Europeans get to pay the price. Insanity by insane people. May you rot in hell.

That's the problem. Too many places push things they are paid (more) to push. It's hard to avoid, which if you can do it yourself, you are better off. That is a lot of work and time. My broker account has screeners to help. They do, but still a lot of time and study to find what you want. Investing of any type is a lot of work.

So you have nothing. That's what I figured. Please continue with your fantasies and insults. That's all you know. Oh, and I'm hardly slipping Gomer. I don't stoop to hiding behind an "ignore" button like a coward while taking potshots at someone I put on ignore. Do you have small hands too?

Financial people can be very useful. I have talked to my broker (funny they call them that) to help me find the kind of investments I am looking for. For example, bonds; duration, type, and risk.

Can you explain exactly how people who say Ukraine is not winning this war get paid by Russia, Gomer? Like how do they transfer the money? I can't seem to find the checks. Damn! Or under the influence? Do people have a hotline to Putin? Like direct T1 connection to share intelligence real fast? Maybe it's through Musk and Starlink - yea, maybe that's it. Please do tell. Oh, I forgot, I'm on your ignore list. Maybe someone can answer those questions - how am I (and many others) get paid and/or under the influence of Putin/Russia? Or is Gomer once again FOS. How's Ukraines electric grid doing by the way? Hard to win a war when you don't have an electrical grid that works.

RE: FTX crime. I don't know why anyone isn't in jail over this scam, but if there is any doubt we are not a nation of laws, here is another example; If you are not familiar with Sorkin, he works for the NYT as well as a morning anchor on Bubblevision (CNBC). Nothing is off limits so he says. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That little fucking creep wouldn't know a tough question if it hit him upside the head, but that's really not the point. The SBF guy should be in jail already, but they are going to include him (along with other celebrities) as part of this summit put on by the NYT so Sorkin can lob softballs at the creep. Hey Sorkin and the NYT, why don't you ask Gensler or Garland why this dick is still walking the streets instead of helping him cover up and wash away the crimes. Nation of laws my ass.

OFF TOPIC; From the sophisticated world of F1 & Indy (upside down airplanes that contact the ground), to the wild and woolly world of ovals, horsepower, and dirt.

I'm trying to find the journalist in this. 🙂 This isn't a news organization either. It is a propaganda machine. Buy hey, if people are dumb enough to give money to Cramer, they deserve to lose it.

Here you go - short the living shit out of oil. LOL!

Been a while, but one of his bullet points was "small" bills. That seems obvious, but that's just me. Of course, if "they" wanted that to happen - it would.

The rail thing is something to watch for sure, and there is energy (crude) shit going on too. WTI under 80, the OPEC jawboning. All you can do it watch the tape.

I think it was Justin Amash, a Michigan guy who most would remember I think. He said McCarthy is one of the biggest POS he ever dealt with (and probably not the only one). Imagine that. He was offering on Twitter to be Speaker of the House, and what he would do. That would be a hoot, but would never happen. He made too much sense.

She might be a nutjob, but she's right. From The Hill. Marjorie Taylor Greene unveils resolution to audit Ukraine aid funds Where exactly is all this money (to one of the most corrupt countries in the world) and these weapons going? I've already read some of the weapons have ended up on the black market. Some of us remember the Stinger missiles that went missing in the middle east in our 20 year blunder there. I know, this time it's different.

That's about the funniest fucking things I have ever read here. How many people are dead because of American imperialism under the PNAC killing for profit criminals you so adore? Give me a fucking break Gomer. You should be in a padded cell.

That's funny. I'm old enough to remember when the swine fucking bankers blew up the world back in 08/09. Congress brought all these evil CEO's to congress to make things right (after they bailed their criminal asses out) for the destruction they caused. I watched almost every single hearing. It was so puke worthy it would run the satire people out of business. Some of it was pretty good (SIGTARP/Borofsky stuff) but in aggregate - a clown show. When you study the Enron stuff, they called themselves the "smartest guys in the room" and they were (except some of them actually went to jail). Jeff Skilling should be on the Mt. Rushmore of financial criminals, but he should also be there for his innovation on how to create and lever money out of nothing. The blueprint for swindling the system. The bankers vs. the congress people is truly David and Goliath. The market guys are the smartest guys in the room, and it's not even close. Wall Street pays buy side analysts multiple times more money than the CEO's of the companies (and sector/industry) they cover. As George would say "it's a big club and you ain't in it."

And from Today - again from MarketWatch; Housing starts fall again as high mortgage rates scare off U.S. home buyers

My oldest lives in the Columbus, Ohio area. Not far from where the new chip plant is suppose to be built (New Albany I think). He is in a development that was pretty empty when he bought a few years back. It exploded with homes in the last year and a half, none finished as of yet. I will be curious to see what it looks like next week when I go down there. I don't know the deal on these homes. Investment homes built for profit selling to the new plant employees, or people themselves as the buyer. Either way, given the cost increase over the last year, they have to be losing their ass unless they can raise the price of the house. I would love to ask a contractor how that works. Contractor quotes a house for X, over time while being built, cost go up 20 percent. Quote price of X now only covers the cost and ate all the profit. What kind of protection does the contractor have?

Home builder numbers came out yesterday. This from MarketWatch; Home builder sentiment continues to sour in November

Adding again; we don't go down the rabbit hole of CUSIP numbers either. How stupid of me.

To further that thought. I never paid any attention to the crypto stuff. I thought it was a scam. The only thing that seemed to have any intrinsic value (used loosely) was the block chain technology. I have no idea how that works. The block chain should prove transactions (as I understand it) just like our CUSIP numbers trading on the NYSE. Now it seems we have "issues" (imagine that) so it would make sense to look under the hood and see what happened and why? But that's not what we do.
