Imagine that! I guess it's easy to not know anything when they people who provide the numbers don't either (some financial people think these numbers are too low). For those wanting a rate cut, this will probably help.

Harris to propose federal ban on ‘corporate price-gouging’ in food and groceries - CNBC

Not really. What might be this conventional answer?

Why should the Fed cut rates?

at @gehringer_2 - why the funny face?

Wall Street Engineers Invent a New Head-Spinning Options Trade At least they used derivatives and boom in the same sentence. I wonder how America will like it when we bail out the swine bankers again?

The first quote is by bailout king Warren Buffet. The second should read ""Bulls make money, bears make money, pigs get slaughtered"

So we need to lower rates? What, exactly, are we fixing? Low rates for too long got us to where we are now. Been trending down since early 80s, flat lined (ZIRP) in 2010 when the banks blew up the world until 2016ish, a little blip, and flat again(probably due to COVID). And here we are. If cheap money was the solution we wouldn't be where we are. Wherever we are, I'm not real sure.

Actions to Accelerate our Progress - from INTC (official release best I can tell) What a long winded pile of typical corporate horse****. Stock getting pounded after hours.

Forgive me, I thought people were smart enough to figure that out. The only point it is proving right now is you missed it.

I'm retired. I spent 35+ years in the world of Office Space/Dilbert. I can count on one hand how many managers/bosses I respected over those years. Most were slimy corporate worms who would do anything to climb the ladder, while being an incompetent ass kissing robot while doing so. Yet they kept a job - because they worked for more incompetent ass kissing robots who had no clue how it all worked in spite of all their fancy pieces of paper and countless hours of corporate obedience training. Corporate incompetence (and greed (penny smart, dollar stupid)) breeds waste, and plenty of it. Savings could go towards wages and benefits. Haha! Who am I kidding. The next 10K

Unions will never make a difference again, NAFTA was that nail in the coffin. Automation will replace labor in every way possible, AI will replace human digital tasks in the same way. It's all about the bottom line ($), humans don't matter. Until they do...

Orange Hitler is due to speak at the convention sometime, but will he? Does he have the nads? He literally dodged a bullet last week, which might be quite humbling. Can the world’s most famous huckster become humble? Millions of people will be watching to find out. If he is humble and sounds presidential, he will win in a landslide over the Party Of Snobs (POS). The blame cannons will look like the 4th of July, but will be pointed in the wrong direction. Incapable of self-reflection, the POS will serve up endless excuses and blame as they wallow in their own pool of tears, clueless as to why they were rejected. This will be, for the second time, a giant middle finger to the POS and their endless stream of blue BS, and a giant dose of STFU.

I would pay cold hard cash for a Ballmich vs. Gomer debate.

So there is nothing we can do because things.... Not acceptable, and people that want to make excuses should be fired. You're fired.

Let's play hypothetical and say we found out it did come from a lab in Wuhan. Honest accident, no nefarious intent by anyone. Why are they doing this dangerous testing/research in the middle of a highly populated area of China where an accident can cause what we now are going through? Is it really worth funding such a dangerous kind of thing? Let's say it is, why is it not being done on a island out in the middle of nowhere so if something happens it won't infect half the fucking world? To me, knowing where it came from should help us make sure it never happens again. It killed over a couple million people, and over a million here in America. But no, let's make it all political instead of finding the truth, so all the partisan hacks can argue, point fingers, get TV sound bytes, while people die. What a fucking country.

Shipments of contaminated waste to resume from Ohio train derailment site - CNN FTA: Apparently, the complaints from Texas and Michigan worked as they are now going elsewhere. Vickery, Ohio is the winner it looks like. Underground injection wells. Yea, I've heard about them, since they are about a half hour from where I live, and it's also a few miles from Lake Erie. I sure would like to know more about those wells since there have been stories of people getting sick in that area for years. These wells are around 3000 ft deep, similar depths of a fracking well. How safe are they? I know the official answer, but that is no doubt coming from the same people who tell the East Palestinians their water is safe to drink. The train wreck is solely on Norfolk Southern and their implementation of PSR (Precision Scheduled Railroading). The horrific response is solely on everyone who should have responded. There are no innocent parties here. From above; That sounds like 2.5-3.0 PER DAY too many. Why is this happening? Maybe because nobody gives one good shit as long as the railroad continues to make record profits, stock buybacks can continue, railroad pays pissy as fines and the POS politicians keep getting their pockets lined to look the other way. Nobody gives a fuck about the environment or the people who live in it.
