worst call of the game was Pereira trying to fabricate a targeting out of the tackle on Petras (or had they switched at that point - lost track...) The qb was a runner, at least half the momentum in the collision was the qb still moving into the tacklers pushing for more yardage. Would have been a ridiculous call.

a fake slide should be penalty though. It's not so it's fair to call him clever, but if anyone ever starts doing it more often they will have to add it to the rules. You can't demand the other players protect a sliding QB and then allow him to fake it.

Would be fun to play and beat Cincy because it's regional and the Fickell connections, but for me playing Alabama or Georgia is like the Tigers playing a game against the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters - they are basically from another planet.

There is a point there with respect to the sense of the bill of rights but you run into the problem with the black and white text in the 8th amendment. If they had intended to ban bail, they would not have instead set limits on it. That's a hard argument to get around. Far harder (logically if not politically) than banning handguns under the 2nd would be. When you have an internal logical inconsistency you probably need (or at least should have) an explicit amendment to make the change. I know - the amendment process is broken, but that's not the founders' fault.
