  2. I don’t have a problem with Benetti, but I’ve long been of the opinion that all other things being equal baseball is a sport better enjoyed on radio than TV. Even side from the announcers, the game and the medium fit so beautifully. And Dan D. is such a good, comfortable listen. Really, the only complaint I have is when he forgets he’s doing radio and gets so deep into conversation with the analyst that he forgets to paint the word picture or give the score. (I’m also of the opinion that analysts are superfluous on radio. Give me the old Ernie/Paul days of the pxp guy talking directly to the listener and the other *maybe* chiming in on an occasional basis.)

  6. All this talk about Springsteen and nobody has yet mentioned his greatest song: “Rosalita”.
  7. Yeah, I've noticed that too. They had some during ST but nothing since Opening Day. I wonder if it has something to do with ESPN taking over the distriibution?
  8. Meanwhile, the 🧊 brownshirts are still wildin’ out in the Gopher State: https://www.startribune.com/minnesota-democrats-report-being-followed-harassed-by-ice-agents-during-immigration-surge/601587769
  9. And, as the sun rises in the east, the US MSM will amplify those narratives.
  10. Maybe they’re dressing up a little for Opening Day? I seem to recall Frank Beckmann donning a tux one year when he was with channel 50.
  11. Watching a bit of NBC's triumphant return to baseball with Pirates-Mets. And I'm already disappointed, because they didn't bring back the '80s theme music. Heh, Lowe goes yard on the first pitch of his first AB as a Pirate. Way to endear yourself to the locals right away.
  12. The most splendid time in sport. And, yes, obviously a must-win.
