  1. It feels like the Mets gave that inning away....
  2. Surprised they pulled Edwin Diaz here....
  3. In the words of the late Jimmie P..... "Wow"
  4. Just my two cents, but there's a tendency in the larger discussion to rate issues where the ground is more favorable to the GOP as more important versus those that favor Dems (specifically Dobbs).... and we've seen multiple off-Presidential cycles where that particular issue was downplayed and where, when the votes were counted, it mattered a lot more than people expected it would. Whether that extends to a Presidential cycle remains to be seen, but you would think that folks would be a little more careful than to casually dismiss the importance of that issue.
  5. Tork hasn't been good, but it needs to be stated that he's arguably been better than Greene and Colt Keith thus far....
  6. They can't hide him forever
  7. If Joey wants to stick around, he's going to have to stop falling behind so much...
  8. Probably a good one for Alex Lange too
  9. Can we please get the run home here? lol
  10. Wentz probably gets a lot of run in this one
  11. Really nice outing from Mize overall.... considering how long it's been since he's pitched
  12. People still hate on Monroe, but Benetti makes him far more listenable to my ear.
  13. Camera man was making me think homer there lol
  14. You can blame me, everybody lol
  15. Casey looks like a whole different pitcher than pre-injury
  16. I didn't bother looking at it.... but how on earth is that news?
  17. It goes back to the Wayne Gretzky quote.... where the puck is going, not where it's been.
  18. The memory of Trump coming with a point in 2016 looms large in how people approach talking about the state. But part of why he managed to (and part of how he managed to win MI/PA/WI in 2016) was that he managed to retain just enough support in suburban areas to go along with the significant gains he made in the rural areas of the Midwest. I think it's one of the most politically misunderstood states in the country, tbh... it often gets lumped in with MI/PA/WI, but given how much more suburbanized it is versus those states, it's much different and the shift that happened in 2020 in Minnesota shouldn't have been that surprising to anyone.
  19. Outside of maybe Illinois, Minnesota's population is probably the most suburban of any of Midwestern state.... and something like 65% of it's population lives in and around the Twin Cities. It's much more inhospitable ground for the GOP than it is generally given credit for.
  20. MB is speaking specifically to Florida here, but the blue wall states are all above average in terms of age as well.
  21. They should also be recieving more pressure on social media as well
  22. It's also, by significant margin, the most covered issue in political media today. One can disagree with the approach, but I don't think it's even possible to ignore the issue given how much coverage it gets relative to every other issue facing the electorate.
  23. It's going to be a close election, and I wouldn't put money down on either candidate.
