  1. Not even sure what to say other than "lol"
  2. I'm not to the point where I'm revising expectations downward (yet), but it's increasingly looking like they're going to have hit my number by doing something similar to what they did last year. And that's pretty disheartening. It's hard to keep a glass half full with this team when they keep starting with stretches like this. As flawed as they are, particularly with their depth on the infield, I do think they are better than what they are showing. And the pitching, IMO, is probably better than last year's team, will keep them in games and will give them chances to win whenever the offense does start to pick up. But it's hard to stay positive when the product looks as bad as it has the past couple of days. It's unacceptable really. And if keeps up, they will need to make some changes... baseball is a results game, and if you aren't getting results, you shouldn't be comfortable.
  3. I said this in the other thread, but if Harold Castro can't field any of the infield positions competently, time to bring up Kreidler. He may not be fully ready and maybe needs more regular playing time, but bring him up and rotate him around the infield as needed, or platoon him with Schoop/Candy for now until they get out of it.
  4. I live around a 6-12 baseball team down here, but at least they occasionally hit homers and have good ABs 😆
  5. To the extent that the system has any depth, its with pitching, particularly RHP. I really think Brieske, Olson, Faedo, etc. have promising futures. I buy that. But that doesn't help you when you are trotting the Castros out there every night. This is a league where guys like Alex Dickerson get DFA'd. I dont understand what the gamble is in trying to sneak Harold thru, or to option Willi to see what Kreidler and Clemens can do at this point. Might as well try something different. Would anyone even claim Harold if they DFA'd him?
  6. Boy, I've about had it with Harold Castro
  7. In terms of development, they are really imbalanced between pitching and position players as well. Like, I love that Alex Faedo threw 5 scoreless striking out 8 last night.... but at this point, I'd rather have another promising position player prospect.
  8. As bad as they have played, they are also just snakebit on luck. Good Lord, that's like getting kicked in the balls over and over again.
  9. Really painful listening to Johnny Kane pop in to talk about Miguel's dreams of winning a championship. Probably preplanned for the broadcast, but it's so poorly timed with the on-field product
  10. I am beginning to really hate this team....
  11. Just incredible....
  12. Honestly, you could say that about the opposing teams as well... they just score a little bit more. Tigers games, at least so far this year, are boring. Even for the winners.
  13. Tork nearly tied it.... damn
  14. Robbie is playing well, but he needs to put some launch angle on some of these
  15. Seems pretty optimistic to assume they will tie this game... lol
  16. And that's why the Twins have more wins than losses.... there's some luck involved.
  17. Unbelievable
  18. Game over
  19. That was a pretty frustrating inning
  20. Setting up for another TTBDNS inning
  21. Ober seems really hittable.... at least for Major League offenses anyway
  22. Increasingly of this view, although Haase has me wondering whether he should be the guy to be DFA'd at this point. I hate to talk like that, but the magic seems to be fresh out, and I don't know that his defense behind the plate or in left is good enough to keep if he can't hit. I thought it was interesting that AJ pinch hit Harold for him last night.... maybe he was playing matchups, but idk.
  23. Saturday and Sunday in Los Angeles seem like tough sledding. Today and tomorrow (Skubal v. Ober, Alexander v. Tyler Anderson) should be winnable, but the offense sucks right now, so idk
