  1. Just incredible....
  2. Honestly, you could say that about the opposing teams as well... they just score a little bit more. Tigers games, at least so far this year, are boring. Even for the winners.
  3. Tork nearly tied it.... damn
  4. Robbie is playing well, but he needs to put some launch angle on some of these
  5. Seems pretty optimistic to assume they will tie this game... lol
  6. And that's why the Twins have more wins than losses.... there's some luck involved.
  7. Unbelievable
  8. Game over
  9. That was a pretty frustrating inning
  10. Setting up for another TTBDNS inning
  11. Ober seems really hittable.... at least for Major League offenses anyway
  12. Increasingly of this view, although Haase has me wondering whether he should be the guy to be DFA'd at this point. I hate to talk like that, but the magic seems to be fresh out, and I don't know that his defense behind the plate or in left is good enough to keep if he can't hit. I thought it was interesting that AJ pinch hit Harold for him last night.... maybe he was playing matchups, but idk.
  13. Saturday and Sunday in Los Angeles seem like tough sledding. Today and tomorrow (Skubal v. Ober, Alexander v. Tyler Anderson) should be winnable, but the offense sucks right now, so idk
  14. Can't believe I'm saying this, but this looks like the strongest possible lineup they could put out there right now. Which isn't a good thing when it involves both Castros.
  15. I'm not going to do that because there are things that I comment on on this message board where I feel that I have enough information for which to develop an educated opinion on. This isn't one of them. And there is nothing wrong with admitting that.
  16. Correct. And from my reading about the issue, I have very little confidence about what will or won't happen if/when Musk buys Twitter. So as opposed to just assuming he's gonna lay off half the company or that he has people lined up with knowledge of the product to help him along, I'm gonna just wait and see how it all plays out. We're all entitled to our opinions. Or lack thereof.
  17. Can you hit and play third? 🙂
  18. I really don't have a dog in this fight. Twitter is a cesspool now and will be if/when he ultimately acquires, though I concede he could make it marginally worse, I suppose. But I also think much of the speculation about personnel decisions is maybe a little more complicated than it's being made out to be. And Musk, for his part, doesn't appear to have much knowledge of the product he'd be acquiring, so he needs people with at least some institutional knowledge around him. Mass layoffs, particularly ones as punitive as those doing the speculating seem to envision, seem to run counter to the goal of surrounding oneself with people who have institutional knowledge of the product that Twitter is selling.
  19. You know this, how exactly? It's easy to sit on the sidelines, with little knowledge about Twitter and its corporate structure, and say "oh yeah, no big, just axe a bunch of people". A little harder in reality, one believes.
  20. Unlike yesterday, the pitching matchup clearly tilts Tigers. But then again, they seem to make most opposing pitchers look like Tom Seaver. So, hard to feel optimistic for this one.
  21. I mean, in order to fire a bunch of people, you need to be able to replace them. A lot of whom probably have a skillset/knowledge that is hard to replace? Do we know that Elon Musk has all those folks lined up to backfill those jobs? Or is this just one of those assumptions that people make when they assume that "oh yeah, he'll just do mass layoffs, no biggie", as if that's how the real world works?
  22. Sounds right, he may get some action soon.
  23. Wonder how much runway Faedo needs before getting a looksie in the big leagues...
  24. AJ does a good job hiding his emotions, but he seemed pretty curt in responses tonight
