The sportswriters of America will never vote for Hinch. The stench of the Houston cheating scandal will follow him the rest of his career. IMO, he deserves to win manager of the year but sportswriters are total jerks.

It's too bad for the Twins and KC that baseball doesn't end the season after 120 games. The Tigers poor early season record allowed those teams to build a lead. The Twins and Royals poor play in the late season allowed the Tigers to catch them by winning at a .650 clip. But we never would have caught them if we weren't playing great baseball.

A bunt. A long forgotten fundamental play. Players never asked to bunt in the minors, never taught how to bunt and never practice bunting. And then they're asked to bunt in a pressure situation. Stupid baseball play by stupid players and a stupid manager asking for something stupid. Just...stupid ball being played in Minnesota. They deserve an early off-season.

I see Atlanta winning 2 of 3 from KC. So if (when) the Tigers win 2 of 3 from the WSox, we get the 2nd wildcard and play in Baltimore. And have Skubal in game one. Against Burnes.

A 2nd round pick from the Bears is pretty close to a late 1st round pick from the Lions. Possibly.

It wasn't the most graceful catch but it saved the game. When that ball was hit, I assumed the game was over.

Twins are in jeopardy of losing 2 out of 3 against a terrible Miami team, at home. They're done, even if they come back. They've used their entire BP this game. And Burnes pitched for Baltimore and their BP gave up 9 runs! Take the over in the Twins-Orioles game tomorrow

So Detroit sweeps WSox, Twins sweep Baltimore and KC loses 2 of 3 in Atlanta. Tigers would get the #1 WC spot.
