  1. Our OL health is...questionable. 😵😵
  2. He was under immediate pressure. Just an unrelenting pass rush. The Texans have the #1 defense in the NFL. Even Allen looked shook up after being hit hard, very hard, several times. It makes me understand why Goff looked so bad against Philly.
  3. Allen was sacked 8 times in total. Many of them were very hard hits and huge losses. Over 10 yards. He kept backpedaling.
  4. It's a lucky thing that Obama had Bin Laden killed. Otherwise, Trump would have invited him to the Whie House.
  5. If Harris had to build a team from scratch, it may take his a dozen years. Luckily, he had a foundation of Avila players to get him started. We'll see which broken down injured players he overpays for this winter. Is Avila employed? We sure could use him to bring in some quality players...🤣
  6. I've also heard stories about Trump not paying people who own small businesses the money owed to them. Putting mom and pop businesses out of business. He would just throw lawyers at them to get out of paying them. A miserable and cheap old man.
  7. One thing I like about Harris is he apparently is good at building a bullpen. With starting pitchers averaging fewer and fewer innings per start, it puts more importance on a good bullpen. And our 2024 bullpen helped us into the playoffs.
  8. One good move doesn't make up for a dozen head scratching moves. Avila sucked...I agree. But he's STILL responsible for the better players on the roster. And he really doesn't deserve a lot of credit for many of those players, he lost so much,we had a ton of high draft picks. And whoever told him to draft Skubal so late deserves credit.
  9. Every position player except Torres? Pitchers? IDK...Skubal and prolly several others? You're right, it's not 80%. Prolly closer to 90%..
  10. TBH, I would have fired Avila for giving Ausmus an extension. Now THAT was a guy who I really disliked.
  11. I don't understand your hatred of Avila. If memory serves me correct, he was forced to trade away all the established (and expensive) players. Did he make good trades? Heck no. His eye for talent was dismal. And he obviously didn't have people around him that were competent. But he's so 2020...or whenever he was let go. Scott Harris has made moves that hasn't impressed me at all. Lucky for him, he had some of Avila's players and coaches to help us win. 😅🤣
  12. Careful....some people give Harris all the credit for the Tigers playoff success the last 2 years. But some people say we won in spite of Harris. 🤣🤣
  13. Probably 80% of the roster? Hiring Hinch?
  14. Some fans blame Harris for the Tigers losing out on winning the division. How many games did Paddack and Morton lose after Harris traded for them? Montero may have done better than Morton (a very low bar) and the Paddack trade never made sense. A reject from a bottom feeder team, it was more of a move just to do something than it was actually a thought out move. And yes, I agree about Hinch. His calm attitude helped the Tigers weather the storm in late 2025.
  15. Jim Campbell and Billy Lajoie. 🤣🤣
  16. No, not 100%. He was pretty bad at player development. And he had really high draft choices. But he did make some good moves and deserves some credit for the Tigers recent success. And I'm really not sure if Chris is putting payroll limits on Harris. If he is, wasting 15 million dollars is even more huge. Limited resources means getting free agent signing right. Torres seemed to have worked out but he kinda fell olin the Tigers lap. I mean, 2nd base wasn't a huge need at the time, the Torres signing came out of nowhere. But again, Harris has done a very good job at rebuilding our weak farm system. Hopefully, some of those players will soon help us.
  17. I wish they could have signed Matthew Boyd. 2 years at 15m per season. Instead, wasted 15m on Alex Cobb. The upside on both players really favored Boyd, Cobb was planning to retire until all that money was thrown at him.
  18. Looking around, Avila's "mess" has us in the playoffs the last 2 seasons in spite of the Harris mistakes. Alex Cobb? 15 million dollars wasted on a team with limited resources. Maeda? Trading for a 41 year old Morton? Or acquiring Paddack? A reject from a bottom feeder team? The Twins garbage. Harris has done a very good job rebuilding our empty farm system but I would never say he's done a good job with the major league team. His lack of bringing in talent thru trades or signing quality free agents is his biggest weakness. Say what you want about Avila but the foundation of the ML team is players he brought in.
  19. When my doc told me rotator cuff tear, I asked him if I needed surgery. He looked at me like I was crazy and said rotator cuff surgery was very rare. Yeah, rare for a 65 year old. Not for a 21 year old pitcher...lol
  20. It used to be said that defense wins championships. I guess not so much anymore ..
  21. I had/have a slight tear in my rotator cuff. It's very minor. And the pain is horrible as well as absolutely no strength in it. I can't even imagine a complete tear. Anyway, it's been 3 months and it's finally getting better. Of course, I'm not a young stud athlete....just an old grumpy sports fan. 🤣🤣
  22. Is MCDC playing 3D chess 3 steps ahead of everyone? Think about it...the Lions destroy teams after we get beaten by them. Call the game a grudge match. So when Detroit plays Philly in the NFC Championship game, we'll have an edge. I could see a Detroit Buffalo Super Bowl. And we owe Buffalo a beating.... Anyway, thats my theory and I'm sticking to it. 😅😅
  23. Pretty good Daniss Jenkins article; https://detroitjockcity.com/daniss-jenkins-emergence-forcing-pistons-make-tough-decision-01k9yz57m8wk
  24. And they're also winning. 8 out of 10? 5 in a row? Impressive. I hate to ruin their streak...😅
