And as a side note, great job by Dan Dickerson. He kept Craig under control and actually paid attention to the action. No giggling or just plain stupid discussions. I could listen to him and know there's a ball in play.

Carpenter's at bats reminded me of VMart. Rod used to call him..."A professional hitter." Excellent bat control, just serve the ball over the infield with runners in scoring position.

3-5 home stand against 2 playoff teams from last year. With Texas having several injuries.

If this were the Wings, they would get 2 out, nobody on and an 0-2 count on the hitter, who ends up walking. And then the next hitter hits a HR.

Oh noooo. Not Craig. Click...radio time. I've been watching some other games on MLB and other teams don't have giggling idiots in their booth. These guys make watching baseball games unbearable.

Holmes has made multiple draft day trades every season. Even if he does keep #29, he still may make other trades that throw all the draft predictions out the window. About the only thing we can predict is that he'll be unpredictable.

Tork was the consensus #1 pick. Choosing a different player in that draft is hindsight. Who else would you have taken?

Meadows speed would make him a terrific leadoff hitter. But he needs to get on base more consistently.
