  1. It would be great to have meaningful games into September. At least until the Lions start their regular season.
  2. It was more than enough to see he wasn't capable. I'm not even sure why he was playing in MLB.
  3. And then Wili Castro goes and becomes an All-Star. Squirrel finds nut. Clock is right twice a day...😆
  4. He played in almost 100 games. And if he would have hit just a tiny bit more, he would have been here longer. It's not just Harris that acquires players and give then extra chances, it's most GMs. I just don't trust Harris' ability when it comes to finding talent.
  5. The scary part of trading Skubal is the return. Any player(s) we get will be given multiple chances to try to make Scott Harris look good. Even if they're total busts. Example? Nick Maton. Every Tiger fan saw he wasn't an MLB caliber player. But game after game, he was in the line-up, no matter how bad he was going. Not only given every chance but given extra chances. Why? Because Scott Harris traded for him with the plan to make him our 3rd baseman, taking the place of Candelario. Think about the possibility of having a few Matons in the line-up. If Harris trades for them, they'll be in the line-up for most of 2025. Whether they earn playing time or not. Even if they do poorly. A Skubal trade could set us back a few years.
  6. I found this description of Trump very, very funny;
  7. I can't stand to ever hear Trump again. And the talking heads on CNN sicken me. I heard them talking about who will be replacing Biden, as if it's a fact. I came back and hulk "belly" hogan was talking...I turned that off. No way would I listen to Trump blowing smoke up people's asses. And the weirdos at that convention gross ne out.
  8. It's an education system failure. We learned about WWII in....prolly about 7th grade or so. Of course, that was the early '70's for me. And the GOP wants to limit how much history is taught...it looks like she never did learn actual history. It's the party of "the slaves were taught valuable life lessons." SMDH
  9. Well, to be fair, Trump is a private citizen who has a right to keep his medical records private. And nobody can ask him any type of question because he'll just lie anyway.
  10. I prefer Joe Biden but if the bickering democrats push him out, I'll be voting for the democratic nominee. I would vote for a pile of dog crap over Trump.
  11. I like the option of the last paragraph; "They are probably better off trying to build a proper offense and bullpen in free agency and making another run at the playoffs in 2025. And if it doesn’t work out next year, they can still trade him before 2026 and get a strong return."
  12. An All Star game that ends before 11 PM? Unheard of in my lifetime. And....it was STILL boring. 🤣🤣
  13. Yeah, I guess i never thought of that. I just see realtors use them but I didnt think about control of the airspace.
  14. A $150 drone could have secured an area twice as big as 160 yards. I'm not sure why any drones weren't used. It's time for some conspiracy theories.
  15. If Harris can't get the return he hopes for, yeah, I guess. But he's going to be moved, too many possible playoff teams need pitching.
  16. Flaherty was signed to be traded. I just hope the return is a player who can contribute really soon...
  17. The Tigers are, at best, a .500 team. Not yet, but close. I wouldn't trade a single prospect in hope of passing half a dozen teams for the last wild card. This little hot streak is really fun and hopefully signs of things to come in a couple of years. But don't trade away a future player who could possibly help us win in a couple/few years. Just my opinion...I hate trading prospects.
  18. I've read that many teams can no longer get insurance policies on some of these contracts. Pitchers are injuries waiting to happen. But Flaherty improving his stock is great for the Tigers reputation, maybe more pitchers will sign in the coming years to improve.
  19. I don't know about that. Teams may take a long hard look at his back issues and not take the chance. Is his back something from previous seasons? That's a lot of money to risk...I just don't know...
  20. Flaherty was signed for the sole purpose of improving his pitches and, if so, to be moved at the trade deadline. Harris waited too long last season with the ERod deal and it failed because of the no-trade clause in his contract. Flaherty can be traded anywhere, find the best possible deal and move him. There are many possible playoff teams that need pitching so just make demands and if no team(s) meet them, keep Jack here. Wait to see if his back is OK and try to extend him. If not, take the comp pick.
  21. I don't think he's on the team for his defense. Just the best RH bat we had on the 40 man roster for Hinch to play his platoon games.
