  1. That TD in Tampa was prolly my favorite play he made last year as a receiver. But those rushing sweep TDs were really sweet, especially the TD in the NFC Championship game.
  2. Opening on the road, in the late afternoon, takes a bit of excitement out of it. But I'm still hyped up to watch the Tigets win some winnable early season games! Let's GO!!
  3. I live in metro Detroit and cutting the cord on cable meant buying the Bally subscription for the Wings, Pistons and Tigers. The user interface is really horrible, hurry up Amazon!! On a side note, Thank You for your work on the Tiger GDTs. Just to let you know, it's appreciated!
  4. Our record against the AL East last season cost us any chance of competing. It was very dismal. Our record against the Central gives us hope for a better season this year. The only thing that can hurt us is more injuries. Greene needs to stay healthy all season. And our SP depth may allow a couple of injuries but not our entire staff, along with Toledo's staff, like the last couple (few) years.
  5. The Tigers have an early season schedule that isn't too difficult. They play their first 11 games against non-playoff teams. A good team would win at least 7 of them. No excuses for another bad start.
  6. I remembervthey took the Tigers off the scoreboard (for some reason) and they were full of water. It may have been dangerous?
  7. But isn't this Sunday Easter? Family time, not time for a summer game.
  8. Tork and Javy going 4 for 4 on opening day would prove how meaningless ST stats are. Of course, if they strike out 6 times, we can say we saw that coming...lmao
  9. That never made sense to me. Have Sunday as an off-day in case one of the 3 days gets canceled. I remember one year, it was beautiful on the Friday off-day. And then miserable on Saturday and Sunday
  10. I'm glad ST doesn't matter because he had a horrible spring. So did Tork.
  11. Chris Meyers with a nice LH stroke for a 3 run home run to tie the game in the 8th inning. Back-up 1st baseman may be blocked for a few years. Lol. Tigers only had 3 hits. Almost 6000 fans in Tampa, they thought it was opening day? 🤣
  12. Agreed. It should make for more excitement. Look for teams to put much more emphasis on the return game.
  13. Streaming is a new big source of revenue for the NFL. When does the schedule come out? https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/nfl/2024-nfl-schedule-will-have-christmas-doubleheader-new-streaming-only-games/5261968/
  14. To be serious, the only way to really judge a pitcher in spring is to watch him pitch. Facing too many AA and AAA hitters from other teams. I just really hate seeing these guys warmed up, really getting loose in the 80⁰ Florida weather and then coming north and trying to pitch in 45⁰ weather. It has to be hard. But I'm prolly just over-thinking it. 🤫
  15. But that illegal block is after the interception, so the turnover would count, wouldn't it?
  16. I don't understand this rule change; "Owners on Monday also approved a proposal to allow for the enforcement of a major foul by the offense prior to a change of possession in a situation where there are fouls by both teams."
  17. They passed a new challenge rule. Teams now get a 3rd challenge if they win just one of their first two challenges. Also, they now go to official reviews on roughing the QB penalties.
  18. We need a few players to send down in May and to blame for another 3-15 start. 😉
  19. He had bad spring stats...<ducks>
  20. The park didn't seem to bother him;
  21. Faedo made the team with a strong spring. From the Free Press; "Faedo, 28, shredded hitters in spring training. He logged a 1.35 ERA with two walks and 17 strikeouts across 13⅓ innings in seven games." But...yeah...stats don't matter. 😆
  22. That's from Breaking Bad or something, right? 😅
  23. Exactly. A team full of AAA hitters would show limited power numbers for a ballpark over the 81 home games per season. But to say any power hitters would turn down millions of dollars to play in that park is kind of ridiculous. The much, much more obvious answer is the Tigers organization didn't offer any players a contract to play here.
  24. If it was so hard to score runs, the Tigers would build a team that could slap the ball all over the field. We've been at Comerica for over 20 years. Nobody has thought of this? Pitching and defense should be at a premium at this kind of stadium. But yeah, they stink, so nobody wants to play here. 🤓
