  1. Pay cut? Is this true? Unheard of;
  2. Flaps his jaw too much. Let plays do your talking...
  3. Lucas Giolito signed a $$38 million, two year contract with the Red Sox. Yeah, he's out for the year.
  4. It's why you have to get consistent pressure on the QB. Make them...uncomfortable. 😅
  5. It usually takes a CB a year or two to get up to NFL speed. Rookie cornerbacks never get the benefit of the doubt from officials either. Plus, picking so late? I don't see Holmes reaching for a CB. He'll take the best player available that's on their board.
  6. https://www.prideofdetroit.com/2024/3/10/24096177/nfl-free-agency-rumor-detroit-lions-christian-wilkins-contender
  7. The more I see so many teams having such QB problems, the more glad I am for Goff. Extend the man....
  8. I hate seeing the mock drafts with JJ going to Minnesota. I don't want to see him twice a season. And it took me a few games to let tp rant. It kinda drove me nuts a few times...
  9. I just started watching it on Bally. Carlos is very good. Keep Craig out, please.
  10. I remember Jim Leyland saying this about Jhonny Peralta..."give me a guy who makes all the routine plays and he was happy" And...autocorrect hates Jhonny.
  11. I don't want to see any gimmicks. Can you imagine the first time a team made a 4th and 15 against the Lions, instead of a super low % onside kick? Ugh...that had SOL all over it..<ducks>
  12. Is this rule change proposal something they can modify before we enacting? Or is it a take it or leave it situation? I really don't see this passing the way it is.
  13. This is just a possibility. There are some things there I don't like. The onside kick rule looks horrible. You have to tell the officials it's coming? And only in the 4th quarter? No, I don't like it.
  14. Spend a bit more than Jackson wants and get a better player? Holmes will upgrade every possible position. When a team has success, fans want everyone back. But in reality, in order to improve, changes are needed. Depth in the NFL is critical. Injuries will happen.
  15. I think I read he had setbacks in his return last year. If he doesn't have complications with this injury, wouldn't he be back sooner? I guess we'll have to wait and see...
  16. Has this been mentioned? I think it's a good move, at least for depth. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2024/03/05/detroit-lions-emmanuel-moseley-re-sign-torn-acl-2023/72853698007/
  17. I read an article in this mornings Free Press that made an excellent point of why a #1 CB is more needed by the Lions than an adge rusher. They made a point of some players already on the roster who could step up and help us. And the fact that with a heavy pass rush, teams would just do a quick pass attack against us. It's why a CB is more important that DL help. I always thought the opposite, get the QB!! But they made sense. I say...get both!! 😁
  18. Where does everyone see him going? 1st round?
  19. Punto may have been gritty but I remember when Rod Allen called Jose Altuve an "Itty, bitty fella".
  20. Get hot going into the playoffs and anything can happen. It usually doesn't, but it could. 😁
  21. It surprised me when I looked it up and finally found it. Apparently, the Wings have outscored their opponents 75-68 in the 2nd period. I woulda said no way! https://www.hockey-reference.com/teams/DET/2024_situational.html
  22. A losing streak heading into the trade deadline. I've seen this movie before.
  23. Oh, I agree. I want Holmes to find the next Maxx Crosby in the draft. Its really the only way to go, we all know the price would be too high to trade for him.
