  1. Agreed. But the HOF loses credibility with the all time HR leader and the all time hits leader banned from being inducted.
  2. Makes sense. Just like early picks get more opportunities that later picks. And new GMs usually prefer their picks over previous front office picks. Tork better figure it out....Harris prolly thinks "I didn't pick him" 😆
  3. Norm Cash had a TV show on CBC out of Windsor. I still remember the lead in song.....🎶 "I'm a swinger and I will swing, swing, swing." 🎶
  4. My 2 best memories were the time he hit a ball into the street past the statues. But the very best was his interactions with the young fan in Cleveland who snagged a hot foul ball and was razzing Miggy. Cabrera gave him a bunch of goodies...made a fan for life, probably.
  5. Yeah, he had TJ surgery. Was originally drafted in a later round by Arizona but decided to go the college route.
  6. Drafting in MLB is a crapshoot. Skubal was a 9th round pick. Carpenter was a 19th round pick.
  7. So you would put Keith at 3rd base and Meadows in LF? Bench Baddoo and McKinstry? Also, who would you replace on the 26 man roster? Honest questions...I would rather have these guys playing every day in Toledo. But, that's just my opinion.
  8. So we would get whatever pick we earn and #4 or just the #4?
  9. Well crap. Now multiple days off.
  10. Doesn't Meadows play OF? Who's spot would he take? And I hear Keith has some defensive issues. So they would not only need to out-perform the players they replace but also play at least equal defense.
  11. Go with the hot hand. Haase caught a no hitter, Jake's last outing was a disaster. If it actually matters...
  12. Skubal's 2023 WHIP is.....0.00. Sometimes I love small sample sizes. No where to go but up, Scooby. 😆😆
  13. Hinch has all the stats so it could be the splits on the opposing SP? Maybe Haase has a good history against him?
  14. How much did Riley raise his BA by going 2 for 2 yesterday? I see he's now hitting over .300 but when he got hurt, I didn't think it was that high.
  15. What concerns me about this is I've seen this being said on other players and then two months later, surgery ended up being required. Wasted months....and then it takes longer for them to get back. Not needing surgery is much better but get a couple opinions on this to make sure there's agreement.
  16. That was back when they played for the love of the game. 😆
  17. I saw Leyland get mad and say "not on my watch" about overworking young pitchers and risking injury. Manning was already gassed, it's like early April for him. Safe and smart thing to do was take him out. I woulda had him done at 6 innings.
  18. Manning gonna have an extra glass of milk tonight!!
  19. I really was waiting for that....and worse! 😅😅
  20. To be fair, Toronto has a really good team. The Tigers? Not so much...
  21. The Tigers best chance to win a game in this series was Friday. The next 2 pitchers we face are quality arms. Of course, we've been making bad pitchers look pretty good for the last week or so...
  22. Yeah, Miggy is making his farewell tour. He's being paid for all the joy he's brought us in his career here. We all have a favorite Miggy moment... And Shreve? Yes, he's the type of LH you bring in to get a tough LH hitter and then get him outta there. But the rule change to 3 hitters mandatory makes him ineffective. Haase? Yes, he's been pretty bad. His slump has been going on for too long. Better options? We'll see at the trade deadline. But until then, we have to keep him. Isn't Englert a rule 5 pickup? If so, we need to keep him. Exact opposite of Cisnero. Rebuilding teams should load up on young talent that may help in 2 or 3 years. Cisnero is just an old useless pitcher. He's #1 on my list to DFA.
  23. Schoop plays like a 50 year old.
