  1. Playing out of position is always fun. It's hard enough being good at one position but forcing a player to play multiple positions doesn't always work out. But it's fine, that's what spring training games are for.
  2. No place to go but down from here.
  3. The question was; So are we better with Pineda than Boyd ? They both signed for the same contract. And the answer is, yes.
  4. True, but don't forget we had Mize, Skubal and Manning on strict pitch counts. Plus we used Norris for a few 5 inning starts. This year, these guys are off the leash. Go ahead, give us 7 innings...😅😅
  5. I totally forgot about Turnbull until they mentioned him today. When is he scheduled to return?
  6. Rodriguez wins the Cy Young. Greene is ROY. Hope springs eternal.
  7. But wouldn't it also cause them to not allow 2 rookies to make the team in the same season? Greene wins ROY this season, extra picks. Torkelson wins ROY in 2023, extra picks. Hmmmmm
  8. I hope he does it in Detroit this season. Is there enough games to stretch out our SP this spring? Maybe they should have allowed an expanded roster for the 1st 2 or 3 weeks?
  9. New Tigers RP Chafin doesn't think too much of analytics. Hee-hee
  10. If he hits. If he has the same spring stats as last spring training, he'll be in Toledo. At best. I'm rooting for the kid though, we need him.
  11. I think Greene has a longer leash. Greene in CF, Baddoo in LF and Grossman in RF?
  12. Torkelson has to hit his way north.
  13. The had him under the franchise tag and he said he wouldn't play under it. At least, last I heard.
  14. Bey is in beast mode. Good to see.
  15. Last I heard, GB was 41M over the cap. Maybe they had to shed salary, that would be a lot of contracts to re-structure. 😅😅
  16. I hear many teams aren't using any regulars in their first few spring games? I'll guess we'll see tomorrow?
  17. Oakland seems to always come out on top on finding talent, using them on inexpensive contracts and then trade them for high prospects. Yeah, I would worry about trading with them.
  18. Teams that lead the league in turning the ball over usually end up with double digit losses for the season. Some can win by losing the time of possession but those are the ones with the better defenses.
  19. I read Green Bay was 41M over the cap. And the Bucs were 11M over.
  20. I don't agree. Teams that don't control the clock OR turn the ball over a lot, lose. You never heard of a defense getting exhausted? Lose the turnover battle, field position battle or time of possession and you lose more often that you win. Football basics.
  21. With the addition of Chafin in the BP, it may pave the way to make Alexander a SP.
  22. Stretch Fulmer out to be a SP again. At least use him as a set-up man. Or not...😄
  23. I never thought of these reasons. I guess I never gave tanking much thought, other than draft position.
