  1. Chuck Long was also in the horrible QB mix. The Lions of the '90's were pretty good compared to many other decades. Of course, that isn't saying much. IMO, the Lions are the very worst run franchise in all of sports.
  2. The Wings are giving him every chance to succeed. Maybe even a longer leash.
  3. I hope Larkin is OK. Bad backs can be so utterly painful...
  4. I'm really worried about the 3 game stretch...Denver here...at Vikings and at Dallas. We may catch a break against the Broncos, it's their 3rd game of a 3 game road trip.
  5. Sometimes that clock goes sooo slowwww.
  6. The announcer says Larkin "is emerging as a leader"...uhhh...yeah. for several years now.
  7. Yeah, he yells. Hockey announcers usually get excited by scoring chances but he has a yell like way about him. 4-0...Stevie may have built a playoff team!
  8. These announcers are pretty bad.
  9. What's the latest update on these guys? Are they going to return this season?
  10. I saw the remaining schedule for Green Bay last night and if the play the way have the last few games, they'll win out. That's 11 possible wins.
  11. But after the 2006 season, he was quick to point out that Tram didn't have the players he did. JV and Zumaya. And he gave Tram credit for laying the foundation of a winning culture. He always tried to deflect credit for his success.
  12. I would have voted for him just for the way he chewed out Barry Bonds. He quickly established who was in charge! And I remember in 2006 when the Tigers played uninspired ball right before a road trip, he laid into them. The guy was one of the last old school managers. He deserves the HOF.
  13. Lol...their 3rd string QB looked quite human. But now they have Jefferson back....gulp
  14. Green Bay is going to win out so Detroit needs 3 wins. Win in Chicago and either a split with the Vikings and beat Denver or a win in Chicago and a sweep against Minnesota (my choice).
  15. If the officials didn't ignore defensive pass interference, it would have been different. Legal gambling and ignoring obvious penalties makes the NFL credibility at an all time low. Kinda like big time wrestling with more injuries.
  16. Ouch. His knee looked like it was bent weird. Sphincter squeezing pain...
  17. Am I the only one who didn't like his backflip into the end zone?
  18. We swept the NFC south, didn't we? The Lions are 5-1 on the road, where it's very hard to win in the NFL. I refuse to apologize for a victory, especially on the road. Winning ugly is still winning...
  19. Yeah, for him. 49 yards and a TD is still pretty good though.
  20. Having Atlanta come back to Ford Field would be our best shot at winning a playoff game. But I think we would need to be a 2 seed and I'm not sure if that's possible. Maybe...
  21. A few key injuries really hurt a defense that doesn't have a lot of depth. I agree, we need to draft some defensive pieces. And a few FA signings very well could put us over the top. This offense is for real.
  22. We don't really know the details. Maybe the Lions made an offer and it was refused? We just don't know.
  23. We were building for 2024 and beyond. This is just a prelude of what's to come.
