I do think many more teams are avoiding longterm contracts and Boras hasn't seemed to adapt. Alonso is case in point. It will be interesting to see what happens with Skubal. If he stays healthy he'll get a huge deal, but I doubt many teams will be in on what Boras will ask. If Skubal continues to improve I could see the starting ask to be 9/400

Part of me is still braced to lose Skubal, eventually Greene, etc. There hasn't been a situation yet to offer huge contracts. I suspect we'll see more Colt Keith like contracts. But I also think we as fans will also see any superstars move on following team control. Have to wait and see. Morris, Lou, Tram and Parish would have all past team control just prior to 1984.
