  1. I think it’s problematic enough we even have to debate what it is Trump really thinks of it all, because he is so inarticulate when it comes to the language of diplomacy and statesmanship. It should be clearer than crystal what the American president thinks about the heroic efforts of the Allies in World War II, and especially what side of it all he’s on.
  2. We can say a lot of negatives about the guy and they would all be true, but we can’t deny he’s a star, and arguably the biggest star of our lifetimes.
  3. lol “dating”. Also, lol “in 10 years”
  4. Trump basically told us he was in the Epstein files by the way he pussyfooted around the questions when asked about releasing them.
  5. It’s not so much a copout as it’s irrelevant. She’s an elected representative in a national governing body. Her influence within Michigan is of secondary importance at best, especially since Trump would have won the election even if Michigan went to Kamala. You might consider asking me whether I believe Rashida is the most nationally influential congressional rep from Michigan.
  6. I seem to remember the controversy was Jung was drafted for second base but was already below average there, so it looked like he was going to eventually move to third like a dozen other guys we had in the system, and it all looked very haphazard. Plus Jung had a weirdo batting stance.
  7. Thanks. Bummer, they have no bonus info from before 2017.
  8. Yes, you’re right. You’re talking about it from the Tigers’ perspective, and I agree with your approach from that perspective. I’m talking about it from the Jays’ perspective. They’re not making the deal unless they get a major league contributor today’s back in trade.
  9. Dingler’s defnese is top notch. He’s a superior options in all facets right now. The Achilles Heel I see for Dingler is his propensity to chase. It’s costing him strikes in the zone. I think pitchers are challenging him now, but as much as he crushes balls in the zone, he’s dead in the water on decent breaking stuff. Once the league wakes up to him and figures out how to attack him, then we’ll see how quickly he can adapt to make himself a very good #1 for the long term.
  10. It won’t if he continues to hit around .118.
  11. I think he will not.
  12. And that message is, clock is ticking on your career.
  13. In the right fielder’s glove, unfortunately. And now Beau Brieske in to pitch, instead of Chase Lee. Yay.
  14. This is almost certainly not going to happen, but a real interesting potential scenario has popped up here: if a Tiger happens to get hurt and has to come out of the game, we’re going to have to conscript a pitcher to play the field in his place, or else become DH if it’s Ibanez.
  15. This whole aggressive baserunning strategy of the Tigers’ has to be retooled.
  16. All right, signs of life! Finally!
  17. I don’t click on anything that doesn’t come directly from my friends, so, no.
  18. What I dislike about Bluesky is the search function is so limited to exact terms. Consequently when I do a search about any news story it comes up empty and I have to go to X instead to find it.
  19. I don’t live in Michigan, so I don’t care who’s influential in Michigan.
  20. That Wenceel baserunning mishap from the second inning is starting to loom really large.
  21. That’s a problem because I’m here. 😁
  22. Six pitches to get three outs in the third. Man, did he ever need that. Maybe he worked on something in the batting cage behind the dugout.
  23. Jesus, Casey is ****ing terrible today. Still, I think he comes back out for the third, because I still think they’d like to try to get five innings out of him somehow. But if he gives up a baserunner, especially on a walk or anything hard hit, he’s gotta come out.
  24. We need to have better discretion about when to take extra bases. We just can’t do that willy-nilly like Wenceel just did.
