  1. Who do you like there instead?
  2. How about another inning!
  3. If Carson had thrown the ball into the runner, Nimmo would have been out.
  4. Man, Foley and Chafin sure do look like kick-your-ass relievers from the late 70s, don’t they?
  5. Are you saying uBlock and Ghostery block the streaming ads that MLB.tv runs during the breaks? I have both and I don’t see that happening for me.
  6. Great, MLB.tv stole the Riley homer from me. God damn it. EDIT: OK, VPN off, browser closed, browser re-opened, game back on. Riley! YAY!
  7. Looks like MLB.tv is going tits up on me. I'm getting the "Event will begin shortly" bumper interspersed with clips from a Pistons game. Anyone else?
  8. I like this idea, but it's probably too early to punish Lange for perceived ineffectiveness. You have to give the guy high leverage opportunities at some point, and this would be a perfect time for one of those.
  9. And TORK! did not fulfill the 1/1 pick promise on that at bat. But hey—we're within a run now! Time to yank Joey Wentz yet?
  10. Jake Diekman! Just like Benetti drew it up!
  11. Understood, but he has no future on this team, and there are guys in the system who do, or at least might.
  12. Get used to it, because you are going to see the exact same one numerous times each game for the rest of the season. About as often as you will see the Find-Pete-Alonso-in-the-Crowd spot. EDIT: Oh, and also, the Great Mascot Race.
  13. That's true, he did toss 87 pitches, so Casey was probably coming out either way,
  14. Do we really not have a better eighth man for our bullpen than Joey Worst?
  15. Well, Mize did pretty fair, giving up only two runs plus a baserunner in 4-1/3 innings. If we could score even an average number of runs, he might still be out there. It's clear that the hitters are going to have to help preserve the bullpen today.
  16. Of course it does! Why would we watch it otherwise?
  17. When is she going to get the Trumpian lips-o-suction already?
  18. And now a "magic loogie" reference from Benetti that Monroe pretended he understood. God, I love having the new guy aboard.
  19. How about the sartorial criticism in the booth today? Seems like it's right in Craig Monroe's humor wheelhouse. Shep would definitely not have engaged in that.
  20. Mets' behind-the-plate camera operator tried to will that routine third-out fly ball by Stariing Marte out of the ballpark.
