    With the Tigers playing only .500 ball for the last 10 games while their closest competitors in the Central have slumped, they now have an 11.5 game lead over Cleveland, a 12.5 game lead over Minnesota, and a 14 game lead over Kansas City. Only the White Sox, who have likewise played .500 ball, have stayed stable at 24.5 games behind.

    Not mine, although everybody that knows me well already knows I’m a Tigers fan, but not many of them are people who watch ESPN. Most people I know when I talk about the Tigers glaze over.

    Thank God, the no hit nonsense is over. I’ve seen several. I feel bad for people who haven’t seen one though, but for me, I’m more interested in winning this game and not overtaxing the best pitcher on the planet.

    I can’t find the option that I did last time to hear the radio broadcast instead of the ESPN audio. Or was that on some other platform?

    I thought that was the case they’re probably licking their chops and celebrating their good fortune. I hope the Tigers put on a really dominant show. This playing .500 ball thing is tedious even if it’s superior to some of the stretches other big teams have endured.

    It may not always be the case, but I think these ESPN Sunday games tend to be aimed at the lowest common denominator fans who generally want to see teams with splashy stars hitting 60 home runs. The Tigers are not a part of the entertainment industrial complex and I’m not sure if this game was scheduled in advance or scheduled because Skubal is pitching.

    I’m not sure I don’t remember. Certainly you don’t get to see it live. I don’t know if you get to see it archived or not after the fact. I’m going to watch it on YouTube TV simply because my son-in-law included me in his subscription.
