  1. I’m up here in the mountains of Central Idaho and staying at my friend’s place where his adequate DSL Internet is set to be shut off October 9. Which means I’ll have to drive two hours south back home to Boise if I want watch games. But if I should perchance become acclimated to this place more than I have in the past -because usually, after five or six days, the isolation makes me sort of batty - I can still listen to Dan on the radio. And I have to tell you, I don’t know if I could’ve enjoyed this game anymore watching it on TV than hearing Dan describe it on the radio today. This is a week away, and a lot can happen in a week. GO TIGERS!
  2. Yeah, that photo I took of the TV said 9 AM which I thought had to be Squirrley. It’s probably wrong. I suppose that Max will fix it.
  3. Mountain time zone; parts of Idaho are even in Pacific time, but I’m in mountain time two hours earlier than eastern.
  4. Here I am isolated in central Idaho, surrounded by a bowl of mountains, and nobody to hold my hand during this cardiac of a game, but at 9 AM on Saturday morning — that’s right 9 AM according to MAX — I can watch the Tigers play the Guardians in the first game of the next series.
  5. Who cares about Tigers being the lowest rated team in the odds **** that.
  6. I can’t believe this happened. I just can’t believe it, but it did.
  7. Let’s uh… Maybe get one more run?
  8. Dan Dickerson, “this crowd is in a state of stunned disbelief.“
  9. It’s a mob scene in the third base dugout
  10. Oh my God oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my God
  11. Andy Ibáñez replaces Zach McKinstry.
  12. Please Tork. Please…0 Jeez Loueez this is putting my heart into the aerobic target zone.
  13. I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord And I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord Can you feel it coming in the air tonight? Oh Lord, oh Lord
  14. Scratching out a couple runs here in an unlikely, but characteristically 2024 Tigers manner would be really great.
  15. Holy moly, a double play when you really need it
  16. Parker Meadows homers (1) on a fly ball to right field. A one run lead. It’s like living in a cardboard box but at least it’s a home.
  17. Wish we could’ve cashed in on that one.
  18. Since I’m spending my last 7–10 days in the mountains of Central Idaho before shutting this cottage down for the winter I think I will take a walk along Lake Payette at Ponderosa State Park because I won’t have many more opportunities to do this. I’ll then log in and clap my hands at the run scoring manna from heaven the Tigers will have produced in my absence.
  19. AJ is expecting to have an 8-0 lead.
  20. That’s the spirit! Mathematically due for a correction.
  21. He has sorta kinda in a certain way, perhaps, been here before and done this a tiny bit more than the rest of us.
  22. Great insights, as always.
