It’s 82°, which is a heat wave in SD and there is no rain in the forecast. Although this game begins indecently late this is about as good as you can get. 61% humidity. Does humidity help the ball travel or does it slow it down?

My company used to have late summer meetings in San Diego and it was so strange to leave Boise Idaho, where it was 100° in August and come to San Diego where it was foggy in the morning and 72° when it heated up. I never remembered to bring a jacket even though I needed one. Simply because I was used to hot weather and it felt so cold.

When I started to playfully type, “we are unleashing Montero on the Padres tonight,” my iPhone autocorrected it to “monsters.“ This is one of those times where I hope the soulless object I hold in my hand is correct. I hope they play in a way that makes up for that first loss in the series.
