The hubris of these guys who are used to getting their own way all the time sometimes comes up against reality as an immovable object. According to the box score of the Tigers had seven fly outs. It felt like more to me. But I just had high hopes every time they hit the ball to the outfield.

Phew. I just dislike playing Cleveland more than anyone else. It’s an accumulation of bad memories and not just in the playoffs last year. Rationally it shouldn’t matter what team it is, but I’m a fan and by definition not rational.

I reiterate, I don’t want to get rid of him, but everyone’s surprised. To get a ready made major league player you can’t only always give up prospects. I can just see how other teams would be interested in him. Maybe the Tigers now consider him untouchable. I have no more insight into this than anyone else.
