Manning apparently getting clobbered in this one.

Manning hit Turner in the face with a fastball. He's been really wild. Error by Greene in RF lets the ball skip past him and that chases Manning from the game.

I didn't see the pitch itself, just saw the hitter on the ground.  Anyone see the actual hit?  Would a "face shield" have helped?

I don't think so. It really ran up and in. He didn't even have time to move his head.
