when you start driving west from Sydney, the geographies change pretty dramatically and pretty fast going from habitable to a lot less habitable. A bit like driving up the Columbia river from the Pacific to Idaho.

Because I disliked driving on the wrong side of the car so much in England, I opted out of driving in ANZAC when I was there.

I didn't find it that bad when there was a lot of traffic, you just went with it, but get out on the road where you are by yourself and you suddenly realize you've ended up on the wrong side!  For me the worst thing was that a right side drive car is not mirror image to a left side drive, which is what my brain wanted it to be. If I'm sitting on the right I want the turn signal on the left!
