lordstanley Posted February 23 Author Posted February 23 This is a helluva stat. Team Canada isn’t hard done by with a silver medal Quote
lordstanley Posted February 24 Author Posted February 24 Damn, if only things had gone a bit differently Sunday this would have been Club Stereo in Montreal yesterday with a different anthem. Quote

Team Canada isn’t hard done by with a silver medal The US was the side that got the most flak over their roster decisions and they all turned out to be great. Canada on the other hand probably wishes they had set their defense up differently especially when they lost Josh Morrissey. Definitely a mistake not to include Matthew Schaefer. He’s going to be a core part of their team for the next 3 Olympics and this experience would’ve helped him. Quote
lordstanley Posted February 24 Author Posted February 24 I can’t think of too many pre-9am sporting events (“Breakfast at Wimbledon”?, Ryder Cup some years, maybe some World Cup games?) but 21mm is a nice number. Won’t translate into bigger NHL ratings going forward i don’t think, as the Olympics are a different beast Quote
lordstanley Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 This isn’t a newflash, but Tage Thompson is a big, big man. Quote

slothfacekilla Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Big yikes giving up a 2nd round pick for an expiring McCarron. Wings should shop Rasmussen and Compher if this is what the C market is like 😂 Quote

I guess if you value faceoff percentage he has some value, but other than that and hitting people a lot (aka his team never has the puck when he's on the ice) I just don't see it. https://www.sports-reference.com/stathead/tiny/RbNX5 Quote

lordstanley Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Points in the past 10 games, in order of current conference standings: Carolina - 16 Tampa - 12 Buffalo - 15 Detroit - 10 Pittsburgh - 14 Montreal - 12 NYI - 16 Boston - 15 -------------------------------------------------------------- Columbus - 17 Washington - 12 Ottawa - 14 The Wings have already given up ground to everyone. The Wings would have a 6 pt lead in the Pacific. The Wings are 9 points up on the West’s 8th place team and 12 points up on the West’s 9th place team. The Oilers would be 5 points out of a playoff spot in the East. Quote
