Screwball Posted April 13 Posted April 13 Rory got it done. Fun to watch. Incredible golf course. Can you imagine the score us mortals would shoot there? I would need someone to deliver a box of golf balls about hole 7. 1 Quote

I forget the mechanics of the lottery, but do have my calendar set for June 1. Making the assumption that it’s not so much for the golf but the access to the course right before Masters week with about 1/10th of the people. Quote

It served its purpose to force the PGA to make necessary changes and more importantly for Jay Monahan to leave his job as Emperor. I never caught on to the actual golf. I watched a bit but it was terrible. All of their amazing ideas like team scoring and shotgun starts were crap and made the product much worse. Wont be sad to see it go. Side note: How are they going to get anyone to play this week in Mexico knowing they probably aren’t getting paid. Quote

CMRivdogs Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Guy shows up for his tee time 30 seconds late....gets penalized https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7279705/2026/05/14/garrick-higgo-pga-championship-late-penalty/?source=user_shared_article&unlocked_article_code=1.ilA.zdrG.jM15Jlb1lWnp Quote NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. — Garrick Higgo, a 27-year-old South African golfer with long, dirty blonde hair he sometimes keeps in a man bun, showed up at the first tee Thursday at 7:18 a.m., he insists. His tee time for the first round of the PGA Championship at Aronimink was 7:18 a.m. Had it become 7:18 and some seconds? Sure. Less than 30 seconds, he claims. It certainly hadn’t turned to 7:19. The exact timing remains unclear — a PGA of America official told The Athleticthat it did not have Higgo’s exact arrival time. ESPN recorded it to be 7:19, for what that is worth. No matter. PGA of America Rule 5.3a states: “A starting time set by the Committee is treated as an exact time (for example, 9 am means 9:00:00 am, not any time until 9:01 am).” So as Higgo ran up to the first tee, putter in hand and his caddie and everyone else waiting for him, the announcer handed Higgo his scorecard and informed him he was given a two-stroke penalty. Dude shoots a 67.. To quote an old band director...."Early is on time, on time is late" Quote
