The only thing stopping him from being on all-nba teams is his atrocious 3 point shot. Once he puts in enough time and effort to become a quality shooter everyone in the league will take notice. Hongbit Posted November 22 Posted November 22 I guess I spoke too quick about the only thing. Here we are again. Not good. Quote
Deleterious Posted November 22 Posted November 22 I might have given him the night off either way. The Pistons have played the most games in the league at 17. You still have some teams that have only played 13. I believe they also have the most b2b games so far. A night off wouldn't be the worst thing. Quote
Tigeraholic1 Posted November 23 Author Posted November 23 Cade needs to play better defense and stop turning the ball over. He is on pace for a career high 4.6 TO per game. Love the guy just needs to clean it up. I see the injury is listed as some type hip joint sprain. Quote
Deleterious Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Cade has one big thing he needs to fix to become great and he does it by doing 3 smaller things. The big thing is becoming more efficient. 53% TS% is a joke, like Killian Hayes is the punchline to that joke. 57-58 would be better, but the elites can get it over 60%. This is by far the #1 thing he needs to fix. The three things that can help with that? Finish at the rim better. Develop more of a mid-range game. Draw more FTA's. Finishing at the rim is self explanatory. He gets to the rim a lot but shoots a low percentage in the restricted area and in the paint. Developing a better mid-range game would help. Yeah its an inefficient shot compared to the 3PT shot or dunk. But it is the shot defensives give up the most, so good players need to hit it. Elbow extended jumper and a little floater would do wonders to help his game. Drawing more FTA's is probably the biggest thing he needs to do to improve his efficiency. When you draw a shooting foul that shot doesn't count. If he can turn 2-3 of his misses into fouls, you are taking those off of your box score and its much easier to score at the line. All that means increased efficiency. 2 Quote

I've always thought that was an aspect with Cade that was maybe oversold. He doesn't seem to have the lightning kind of quickness to draw an above average rate of fouls. He did improve from his rookie year to last year, but not much change in FTA so far this year. Quote
Deleterious Posted November 23 Posted November 23 I dont know. The top 10 FTA list has quite a few slow guys on it. Plus I see him get fouled a good 2-3 times a game where he just doesn't get the call for whatever reason. Quote
Deleterious Posted November 23 Posted November 23 I call BS. The league wont like him being listed at available on the 5:30PM injury report then you don't play him. Quote
Deleterious Posted November 24 Posted November 24 This is why I hate the 3PT crazy era. Jalen Suggs is taking just over 7 3 point shots per game. He is shooting 31% from three. Quote
Deleterious Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Wagner has turned into a hell of a nice player. Quote
Deleterious Posted November 24 Posted November 24 17 assists and 17 turnovers. Not good at all. Quote
Deleterious Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Duren, Harris, and THJ combined to score 18 points. Harris/THJ made 1 3PT combined. Quote
Deleterious Posted November 24 Posted November 24 From an article in The Athletic. Quote Saturday’s 111-100 loss to the Magic was the 10th time this season the Pistons have allowed an opposing player to score at least 30 points. Only Indiana and Chicago have given up more. Quote
