Deleterious Posted June 5 Author Posted June 5 Question of the day. Would you give Nickeil Alexander-Walker the full MLE, which is just over $14 million. So probably something like 3/$45 or 4/$60 million. Don't only consider the cost, consider it would mean you also lose Beasley. Quote

Yes. -Much better defender -2 years younger -A bit taller and bigger Downside is he's not the offensive sparkplug and movement shooter that Beasley is. His 3P% is good (38%) but not as good as Beasley (41%). You're trading that for way better defense and you hope that Ivey replaces Beasley scoring (in different ways, obviously). You also lose the chemistry that Beasley clearly has with this locker room, but that's a risk you have to take to improve at some point anyway. Bottom line, we need 2-way players. 2 Quote

Deleterious Posted June 9 Author Posted June 9 I don't want Booker. The Giannis trade is expensive, but fair. The JJJ trade is also probably fair. Just not a fan of giving up Ausar. Quote
Deleterious Posted June 9 Author Posted June 9 Pretty expensive for a guy that turns 35 on Thursday, averaged 11/4/4 on below average shooting, and has 3/$100m left on his contract. I think I might be the one asking for a pick. 1 Quote

Jimbo Posted Thursday at 11:42 AM Posted Thursday at 11:42 AM After last nights game. Would you want Mathurin over Ivey in the 2022 draft? You can't use Ivey's injury why you would want Mathurin. Ivey looked like he would of been a huge asset this year after some major improvements (specifically 3 point percentage). Some think we went on our run because Ivey went down. I am not one of them and think they were already on the run with him. Would you trade Ivey for Mathurin straight up? I remember this being a huge discussion on who they should take (Murray was also in that discussion before he got taken before Ivey). Quote

I remember this being a huge discussion on who they should take (Murray was also in that discussion before he got taken before Ivey). Ivey was projected to have the better ceiling if all went in his favor, which is why you take him. I think it was still the right pick. He's dealt with a train wreck of a coach/franchise and was just starting to show his value when the Orlando Rollerderby took him down, so we'll have to see how things go this year. As for a straight up trade right now, their offensive numbers are actually about the same. Ivey is the better 3 point shooter and Mathurin is the better finisher. Mathurin also has a chance to become a more versatile defender due to his size, but he really isn't a good defender right now either. I wouldn't make the trade because I think Mathurin has had more time to show what he is and that picture is becoming clearer, while I think Ivey is just as good offensively right now but still has the higher ceiling. That's doesn't mean I wouldn't package Ivey in a trade for an All-Star Forward, but either way I value him higher than Mathurin. 1 Quote
