Beasley was always going to be investigated by the league and it's probably a good sign for him returning.

I almost wonder if he asked for it since it said he is cooperating.

If he's cleared by the league or gets a small suspension it opens up the possibility of a long term deal. He wouldn't get more than one year if the cloud of a long suspension hung over his head.

Adam Silver just commented a few days ago, "I'll only say the investigation is ongoing. As I understand it, there's still a federal investigation that's ongoing of Malik Beasley as well."

All of this stuff on Malik's socials about how he's choosing between various suitors has always just felt like hype to increase his perceived value and make it seem like he's about to re-enter the league. Shell games from a con man. Pistons should stay away from this mess and I'm guessing most other teams will as well until the league makes an official statement to clear him.

I think most teams would sign Beasley to a 1-year deal without giving it much thought.  There is no risk involved with a 1-year deal.  I think he wants a multi-year deal and that will require the league to clear him.
