lordstanley Posted November 20 Posted November 20 TSN's Core 4 U-24 ranking is out and the Wings rank #6. That's down from #3 last year, but not bad considering Seider is no longer counted. https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/article/canadiens-top-tsns-core-4-u-24-team-ranking-for-second-straight-year/ TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button and FloHockey’s NHL Draft & Prospect Analyst Chris Peters assessed every NHL team’s collection of assets 23 or younger (as of regular season’s start Oct. 7) – blending evaluations of current level of play with projected further development to assign 2025-26 grades. Players are labeled AAA (superstar), AA (elite), A (No. 1 goalie, top-pair defenceman, first-line forward) or B (tandem goalie, top-four defenceman, top-six forward) or C (backup goalie, depth defenceman, bottom-six forward). Listed are all players rated B or better, with C players included only to round out Core 4 lists. The Habs are #1 with Hutson and Demidov both with AAA and Slavkosky and 20-year old goalie Fowler both at A. I was wondering where is goalie Dobes who has gotten a bunch of starts this year but he's already 24. Personally, I'd put Hutson as only an AA, probably Demidov the same. Wings at #6 have Raymond as a AA and Augustine, Edvinsson and ASP all as As. Then, although not counting in the Core 4 U-24, listed are all the Wings they assign a B to: Kasper, Finnie, Plante, Bear, MBN, Genborn and Cossa. Should Edvinsson be an AA? And wait, where's Danielson?! The teams between the Habs and Wings are Chicago (led by Bedard and Nazar), San Jose (led by Celebrini and Will Smith), Anaheim (Leo Carlsson and Gauthier) and Utah (Cooley and Guenther). Ottawa is #8, Leafs #23, Bruins #25, Canucks #26, Oilers #27, Tampa #30, Florida #31 and Vegas #32. Quote

slothfacekilla Posted November 22 Author Posted November 22 Seems like Twitter is down right now but Plante had a natural hat trick (and a five minute major for boarding!) last night, he leads the NCAA with 26 points in 15 games so far this season (13 goals, 13 assists). https://www.duluthnewstribune.com/sports/bulldogs-hockey/max-plante-gets-hat-trick-to-lead-umd-to-victory Bear seems to be heating up after getting his groove back, 2 goals and an assist for him last night. Shinzaki Posted Tuesday at 03:24 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:24 AM You have to think Cossa is going to see Detroit soon Quote

Shinzaki Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago On X...Saw Cossa make a save without a skate blade on one boot. Still managed to slide across for the stop. I think the kid is ready for a shot in Detroit Quote

I think the kid is ready for a shot in Detroit I thought he looked really good from what I saw last night. You can see why some scouts were in love with his physical traits, he was very controlled moving his huge frame quickly around his crease. You really don't see this kind of athleticism with large goalies often. I have no idea how he'll fare in the NHL with Detroit's defense in front of him versus the very good GR team he's on now. But I'm not sure how much more you can ask of the guy especially with Gibson stinking up the joint. 1 Quote
